This is not a Donnie Yen film. Be prepared for that. Also, it's written almost like a biopic/documentary about Ip Man, rather than the preceding "Ip Man" films. There are some fight scenes in here - quite good ones - but I have to agree with PopcornBucket in their assessment: the closing scene seemed like it was forced into the film; it really didn't "fit" (IMO) with the flow of the story, and seemed too outlandish to actually be a part of this. It was (overall) a good film and Anthony Wong was excellent. Felt like they could have found at least a LITTLE better "Bruce Lee" stand-in, but whatever... It was still a good film. I strongly recommend, however, watching it as a biographical story rather than hoping to see another action-packed fiction movie about the famous Ip Man.

This was an excellent film. Unfortunately the transition to the final part of the film felt like it came out of nowhere. Still top notch choreography though.
