Great story line. I really enjoyed a version of Flash that wasn't so superficial and cracking jokes the whole time. And the Batman timeline twist totally caught me off guard. Nice touch.
Great storyline, adult cartoon, but the drawings are terrible, horrible traces and bizarre anatomy!

I feel like so many films/shows have copied this formula a little bit by now, but seeing this back in 2013 felt like a nice fresh idea at the time. I just got reminded how Aquaman can actually be scary and not just a goofy character. Thomas Wayne is also pretty great.

Great story, very dark. You always get the best stories when you twist everything. Animation wasn´t great but that´s the only minus.
After really enjoying the new "The Flash" film, I was pleased to find out that the films story was based on the same story in this animated film! I enjoyed this take as well, even if I preferred the live action adaptation!

I really liked this movie and Thomas Wayne as Batman was awesome but I wanted to see more of Martha Wayne as the joker
The last great DCU Animation film... Before the fall into the filth ridden garbage they are spewing out now. Sad really...

I sought out this animated movie because I read that the new Wonder Woman movie is borrowing its plot line. If so, it has a very interesting premise. It has the most extensive collection of Super Heroes and Villains I have ever seen, so, I feel like I just got a crash course in the encyclopedia of DC characters. The world is on the brink of a Third World War and the lines of allegiance have been redrawn. The animation is crisp. The action is (Saturday morning) bloody and moves very quickly (aptly so, for a Flash story). It is a great primer on all things DC. If they switch out Flash for Wonder Woman as the central character, they will have some major wrinkles to iron out. Great voice cast. It got great user reviews. I give this film a 7(good) out of 10. This is by far anything better than what we have from The CW DC series, not even Arrow Season 5 (which I admittedly found it pretty good with a villain that was in did stronger than the MC). I already know Thomas Wayne was Batman in the alternate timeline because of spoilers (this is an old movie) and wasn't that surprised by it. But the ending did surprise me quite a bit.

First saw this with my 9 year old daughters at the time it came out. I remember we were getting more and more shocked and more and more elated as the super heroes started dying. It was seriously awesome. I just rewatched it to see if it was as good as I remembered. It is as good even though part of what was great was the surprise of them butchering each other which you do not get the second time around. As all the other reviewers have said the story is phenomenal, the alternate characters are great, the animation is so-so but acceptable. My daughter claims Under the Red Hood is her favorite (and I don’t remember it) so I’m going to watch that next. Oh and if you like this, check out the animated series Invincible and make sure to make it all the way to the end of the first episode before turning it off…
