It's like a 90min long Key & Peele sketch, funny, well written, and deals with real issues in a light-hearted way.

Harold and Kumar meets John Wick. I say John Wick since you have a depressed man played Rell (Jordan Peele) who feels better once an animal enters his life. In the form of a kitten named Keanu.
When Keanu goes missing; Rell and his friend Clarence (Keegan-Michael) will do anything to get him back.

10/10 just because of the George Michael scenes. Cool movie all around though

I, too, would infiltrate a gang to rescue my kitten.

Such a cute movie, its really about nothing but cat lovers will love it and dog lovers prolly will hate the movie cause its all about the cat!!! it makes no sense sometimes but hell that cat is cute!!!

Keanu is exactly what you'd expect, but not really anything more. It's a drawn-out "Key & Peele" sketch that offers a couple of excellent laughs. The spotlight is on a cat who is simply adorable. From a filmmaking perspective, though, this is more TV than cinema level. And there are definitely some lengths. Nonetheless, fans of the two leads will undoubtedly enjoy this flick.

I'm hosting Peeler Month in my Discord server and threw this movie in to round it up to four. I had no idea what to expect but Holy Shit (hehe) I laughed so much harder than I was prepared for. The ending was a bit weak/contrived but overall the writing and acting were solid and everything was so ridiculous it was impossible for me not to have fun watching. Also, as a George Michael stan, I felt really seen.

Minus one star for not having enough kitten.

"Wordness to the turdness."

I needed to watch something that would make me laugh, and who other than Key & Peele. If you like their skits, then this movie is for you. Oh and the kitten is pretty adorable too (and I don’t say that often).

Can I be honest, I hated this movie the first time I saw it as for some reason I just found it not funny. But recently I gave it another chance and wow, I laughed sooooooo hard and both Key & Peele bring their a-game as every time something happened they found a way to make me laugh. This film snowballs so much and I never noticed it the first time I saw it, but seriously the stakes keep getting bigger and bigger.

I also have to admit an actress who I find annoying in most thing Tiffany Haddish (Hi-C) had me in stitches sometimes as her character is super serious but whenever her character was with Jordan Peele (Rell Williams) I always laughed hard. My favourite scene in the film though does belong to Keegan-Michael Key (Clarence Goobrill), Jason Mitchell (Bud), Darrell Britt-Gibson (Trunk) & Jamar Malachi Neighbors (Stitches), when you see that scene I promise you will laugh.

I think this was the only project I really hated from. This movie was beyond stupid, and made no sense. I think it was clear that they really tried hard to do "forced comedy," where there were no jokes to be made.

Key and Peele, in their first starring vehicle, play a pair of soft suburban dudes who somehow find themselves acting like thuggish, grizzled killers to retrieve a stolen kitten (the titular Keanu). It's a terrible screenplay, but at least the laughs are there for the first act. After that, it falls into endless re-hashes, basically telling the same two or three jokes against a different backdrop for the length of the picture.

I loved these guys on TV, but Keanu doesn't do a great job of highlighting their versatility and eventually goes beyond satire to become exactly the type of movie they're lampooning. Would've made a hilarious five-minute fake trailer on the small screen, which may shine a light on the type of growing pains to expect if they continue this transition to feature-length material.

Cute cat but too violent to be truly funny.

This movie was pretty funny. Better than the reviews would lead you to think. I will say there were a handful of scenes in the beginning that went on just a bit too long. But there is a ton of funny in this movie, including parts with my boy Forte, anything George Michael, and some great reactions from Key and Peele. Funny. I am the opposite of a cat person but damn if that little Keanu didn't get to me.

The cat made it a lot better than it was. Didn't enjoy it as much as i thought
