not a bad sequel just doesn't hit the same way as the original red mist was a fun character antagonist but as the main centric villain of this movie he just doesn't work for me Jim Carrey's character was a stand out it was fun to see him playing a different type of character that I'm used to him playing but he doesn't have enough time in the movie The action set pieces and fights are definitely an improvement
That totally was NOT Jim Carrey!
If there's one impression that Kick-Ass 2 left with me, it's this; This is one damn-fun movie, and a damn-fun franchise.
I enjoyed watching the old team return but it was not enough for a sequel. The movie lacked a driving story and sometimes I felt like watching a TV show. But the movie was funny and the action scenes were good. The movie could have been better. If only Mathew Vaughn returned to direct it.
Kick-Ass 2 falls short in its attempt to emulate the original's unique blend of ultra-violence and ironic humor.
I can't say anything good about this movie (well... maybe except for Chloe Moretz), so I'm just saying 1 thing to warn fellow movie buffs.
It was sooo bad I had to quit, just unbearably terrible ... & I'll make sure I'll never watch a movie from Jeff Wadlow again!
An incredible film, with a simple story, but which features fantastic action scenes and a well-balanced comedy with intelligent insights into the universe of superheroes. In my opinion, the highlight goes to the character Hit-Girl, who is more interesting than Kick-Ass himself. In short, it is an essential film for superhero lovers, bringing a unique and engaging approach.
Kick-Ass 2 might not kick ass but it doesn't completely suck either.
It's brutal & stupid but filled with action.
7 - Good
The first movie was so good, it was very hard to live up to it's legacy and this definitely didn't.
Ugh. Not good. Pales compared to the original. Do yourself a favour, watch something else.
So glad they put a Mutantes song

Not near as good as the first film.
Such a disappointment after the great first movie.
This movie was really bad.
Lost a lot from first movie, but still a pretty cool movie
I think it was better than the first film. I like it!
Me encanto
Nice movie. But somehow I felt the first one was better than this first due to its unique nature. Still this one had its moments.
I've been anticipating this movie since the first one, and oh boy, it did not disappoint at all! All of the things you loved from the first one are still there. Kick-Ass is even more kick-ass, and Hit-Girl is no less. I loved Col. Stars and Stripes, and I thought Jim Carrey nailed that role. I just wished there was more of him in the movie. Good to see him back in action doing what he does best. Red Mist, or should I say "The Motherfucker" :D, was even more funny in this one then the previous one. He really brings great humor into the movie. Definitely his best work since the notorious McLovin.
I didn't know that Even Peters had been recast until now so that was a bummer. I actually thought I saw him in the movie in one scene, and wondered why he wasn't more included in the movie. I don't understand why Kick-Ass 2 didn't get priority over other projects of his. I really don't get it. I very much liked him in the first one.
Now...
Give me Kick-Ass 3!
Er, what was that? Where was the warm charm of the original? Not a bad movie, but nowhere near the original.
Argh, was the very last seconds really necessary, "oh, look it's a good ending, let's put a scene after the credits so we can ruin it", I hate that.
Definately fell short to it's predecessor. Where #1 was pretty unique, this one doesn't really stands out unfortunately. Still a fun movie though.
Haha, funny and pretty violent! Some scenes had more action than most other action movies. "The motherfucker" :')
Mother Russia in is the most far fetched character ever, but in a good way
Bearable at most, the first one is so much better that even hurts!
Like so many other Movies, Kick ass didn't really need a sequel, but this one does a pretty good job not to ruin it =)
Jim Carrey announced on Twitter that he is so turned off by the violence in the movie that he regrets doing the film and refuses to promote it.

Successfully completed watching all of Chloe Moretz's movies. I regret nothing.
Superb sequel, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was.
I was afraid that this sequel of Kick Ass wouldn't be as good as the first film but the fact is that I really enjoyed it! Did not disappoint me at all!
Full of great action scenes, funny moments and good performances specially from Chloe Grace Moretz, again, and her Hit Girl that still rocks!
I guess there will be a Kick Ass 3... Let's wait and see.
For now this was a great sequel and worth watching!
Just went out to go see this tonight at my local theater and fucking loved the hell out of it. It was the perfect amount of action, romance, and everything combined and not one second of it was not entertaining.
The fight scenes were absolutely kick-ass and brilliantly violent. Not one character or scene disappointed me. This movie is a MUST watch and I would definitely recommend seeing it in theaters while you still can!
Also, don't forget to stay after the credits because there's a small bonus scene just for your viewing pleasure!
Holy awesome balls that was incredible! Hilarious! Violent! and Heartfelt! Was expecting a film inferior to its predecessor, what I got was an incredible ride through the Kick-Ass universe that thrilled, amused and disgusted in equal measure!

I just finished reading all of the comics from Kick-ass 2, and i have to say: Holy crap that was f***ing good!
I know that when when it comes to comics-to-movie adaptations they are never really true to the comics, the comics are usually a lot more graphic and gruesome. This all to make the movie more enjoyable for an as big as possible broad spectrum of (paying) viewers. For instance the scene where Red Mist/The Mother-fucker goes with his gang into a suburban neighborhood and starts killing little children, random people, policemen and rapes Katie Deauxma (Kick-ass his "girlfriend") will probably not make it to the movie. But a lot of other good stuff is without a doubt gonna make it to the movie, like the big fight in New York's Times Square between the "superheroes" team of Kick-ass and the bad-guys team of Mother-fucker.
In other words: put this movie on your watchlist! Because it is gonna be EPIC.
