I really enjoyed this movie. The way the film captured the different life stages and challenges of the women in question was well done. Not really a date night movie, but if you're looking for something to watch on a solo date night or with some girlfriends, it's a good option.
A lovely sweet movie. I felt so good about the whole story. So nice to watch such a comforting romance and coming of age movie
I guess this film would qualify as a period piece . While it is by no means any great shakes I did enjoy the central theme of the film. I think you have to really be able to appreciate slow films to enjoy this one.

I loved this movie! It doesn’t pull its punches but it isn’t a social commentary film, at all. It’s kind of a “warts and all” depiction of changing attitudes in 1959 Australia. Adapted from a best selling novel, it won the 2018 Australian “Oscars” (AACTA) awards for Original Score, Lead Actress, Costumes and Hair and Makeup. Great cast, authentic characters, slice of life storytelling. I give this movie an enthusiastic 9 (superb) out of 10. [Optimistic Drama]
