I don't see the comedy in this, maybe if I watched in 2006 I'd enjoy it? because movie standards change each year or so I guess.

When I get the bad news…. I’m doing exactly this…. Loved the movie…
The editing let this movie down. Scenes took too long, weird cuts, characters referencing things we never saw happen. Could have been better because of this but it's left awkward.

Yes, it's cheesy. And there are overtly cliche moments. But dammit, Queen Latifah is wonderful in this modern day remake as a woman with a terminal disease who decides to fulfill her wishlist before she dies. It's a feel good movie, centering a Black woman, that is meant to inspire everyone to follow their dreams. One of my lil pleasures, I've watched this film many times. And we need more feel-good right now, don't we?
