Let Him Go 2020

So, it's basically a prequel to Man Of Steel.

I didn't expect much after reading reviews and comments. I was surprised just how good it was. I was enthralled throughout the movie, from start to finish.

It may not have been groundbreaking but I very much enjoyed the cinematography, the story and especially Diane Lane's performance. Really enjoyable.

"Sometimes that's all life is, Margaret. The list of what we've lost."

There are some moments of frustration in this movie, but something tells me that is just how some of the characters are written. That being said, the chemistry that Kevin Costner and Diane Lane have in this movie is great. Back at it again since Man of Steel and they are who I want to be when I grow old: Wholesome, do-the-right-thing type of people.

People on here are saying this movie was slow! This isn't the case at all. Sure, it's not an action-packed revenge thriller, but it never loses momentum. Yes, it takes its time, but nearly every moment here is compelling, and I never lost interest once. It's a good film, with impeccable acting from Costner and Lane, and a dark plot that is at once sad and faintly horrific. Recommended!

An average movie. If you do not see, you will not miss anything. There are better options, choose them

What a redneck family from North Dakota

That was a decent film and hit the emotions with some classic actors that all did well in their roles.

Clearly everyone saying this movie is bad has no taste in good movies whatsoever. The movie carried weight and momentum from beginning to end. Maybe I enjoyed the movie more cuz I went into it not even watching a trailer or knowing anything about it, but it worked. The relationship between Diane Lane and Kevin Costner sold the entire film for me. Would definitely recommend for a mellow evening home with a glass of wine and curled up next to your SG. 8/10

I have always been a big fan of Kevin Costner but I’m afraid I found this movie to be absolute crap. The plot, the script and oh my God the acting. Unbelievably terrible. It is not something I would expect Kevin Costner to allow his reputation be connected to.

And the rest of the cast, I’m sorry folks but for me it was a disaster. The best actor was Peter’s horse.

Very slow at the beginning then horrible by the time things escalate. why would they do such a movie portraying such horrible mentally ill beings? We don't need that.

I did not expect to cry. I cried.

Judt another movie of a strong and very inept and stupid woman who manages to have her family killed and at the end starts crying as a little girl.

So bad I couldn’t even finish watching it. I gave it a three simply because Kevin Costner and Diane Lane were in it.

Felt like all the action was in trailer

It was fine, kind of movie you watch and then completely forget about.

I expected more from this movie, it had potential to be more of a gripping story but failed to grab hold of me.

To me, too many loose ends left this story incomplete and I was left disappointed in the end.

At least STRAWBERRY was speared having not to suffer from this slow film.

If you think, after watching the trailer, you're up for an exiting thriller you better stop right there.

It's slow, very slow, predictable and it uses about every clichéd character ever put to screen. The story isn't original. Acting isn't bad but the characters are just annoying (especially Diane Lane's). Scenery is beautiful but it's not why you watch the movie. I would have settled for a story where they wife and husband reconnect after the death of their son during this trip to find their grandchild. That could have been the better movie. Instead it turns a bit into a freak-show.

In the end I didn't even bother watching it to the end because I couldn't stand it. And that rarely happens as mostly I let those movies run out in the background. Didn't even bother doing that. I think there is an audience for that kind of movie but for me it was a waste of time to be honest.

Went to see this with my wife over the weekend. It was a good movie overall but it was extremely slow. My wife liked it and cried so if you're into that kind of stuff this one is for you.
