She Shoots Straight is a bit on the dark and serious side, but yet manages to have a few funny moments scattered throughout. The story is pretty decent, but it has a lull in the middle that is quite long which takes some moment away before the end. Not dealbreaking by any means, but still somthing to note. The fight scenes are brilliant. There are several standouts, but personally, I really like the fight at the very end. The acting leans a little towards overacting, but anyone familiar with the HK cinema of the time, knows this is rather common. All-in-all a brilliant little action flick.
She Shoots Straight is a perfect example of the Girls with Guns genre. Corey Yuen really knows how to make these it seems. I really like this one, and I really hope this gets a proper blu-ray release soon. My DVD copy is...not good.
