Better than an average Netflix Movie. It's not great, not bad it's an OK movie for Sunday afternoons.
Not bad for low budget movie.
I thought they should have kept it about sex trafficking and placement, the skin thing made it too weird and disturbing and sci-fi in a movie that didn't need more creepy. :flushed:
Pretty good acting.
Not bad, was interesting to watch and the acting was pretty good, but the story has a number of plot holes.
Not as deep as I was hoping, but for a Netflix film this was a 10. Netflix films are generally such garbage this was a pleasant surprise.
I loved the pacing. It was slow and meticulous. It allowed for a lot of story with an incredibly simplistic set. It was brilliant in that regard. Sometimes a simple set and a simple story is all that is needed to make an enjoyable movie.
There were a few things about the plot that were very annoying. For example, what secure door can have hinges taken off using a plastic card. I have flat head screws in my house doors but they are tight enough that a plastic card couldn't unscrew them. A secure door would not only have tight screws, but would use Allen or Torx screws to prevent someone from undoing the hinges.
The drugs that gave them a rash could have used some explaining as that made absolutely no sense. It neither sedated them nor made them healthy, so what was the point?
There were a few other minor quibbles, but overall it was a fairly good story.
With a chilling plot and a tense atmosphere, this is an involving and scarily plausible film.
Completely predictable. I was not entertained or convinced. 2 lead actresses tried their best thought, bless their hearts.
The future of cosmetic surgery.
i liked it until the end :/
This movie had a level 5 writer, forgive the pun. It wasn't really a thriller, more of a drama if you ask me. sure, the girls in the movie were scared, but thriller, no.
The story elements all had a been there, done that feel to it, and the storyline was ripped right out of the headlines of the news. They did try to make up for it with the soundtrack, but it didn't do much.
The whole "going to a new family" bit had me going for a bit in the beginning, until I realized rather quickly that they were dragging, and doing other notorious things to the girls.
The ending was ripped right out of a storybook Hollywood endings book, watch, the movie, and you'll see what I mean (I don't want to give away too much away in my review).
The ending did leave too many questions unanswered about the plot, I guess many screenwriters do that in hopes that they get asked to write a sequel (I pray they never make one of this horrible movie).
Overall, while a Level 16 is an OK movie, it's not something I'd pay to see at a theater (thank you N*tflix), nor would I ever want to see again. 4*/10.
:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:
Not a great movie. Douglas and Martin did give really good performances, but the rest simply was not that good. The guards were actually quite horrible. Not just in behaviour but in their acting. The whole thing was just depressing.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
