That Game of Thrones joke was glorious. Hardest I laughed at a movie scene all year.
Hillbilly Oceans 11. It was a fun ride and a great setup for a sequel.
clever movie disguised as an unintelligent one
Sound quality issues. Levels too even.
Enjoyable movie is nothing special, but entertaining if you're in the mood for a dumb heist movie. A good cast elevates the pretty shonky material.
Funny moments from start to end. To my surprise Daniel Craig was fantastic in his role. A Oceans Eleven with a southern heist. Smart, colorful characters, entertaining and light hearted a must see movie.
Rocky mountain high??... That John Denver was full of shit mannn
Logan Lucky
A fun quirky heist movie with heart.
Plot keeps you guessing. Pacing is good. Last act comes out of left field and feels out of place.
The actors played their parts fantastically and could sense good chemistry and humour between them.
8/10

This felt like it had all the right ingredients but just wasn't quite put together. Tons of star talent but all rather random. Sebastian Stan as a racer who is almost irrelevant except for refusing to validate his annoying sponsors testimony. The suspicion on the owner (how did he know how much was stolen...etc) which came to nothing. The drama about the arm. It all just felt a little all over the place. They had great actors and the characters were well done but it just didn't seem to come together quite as well as I expected.
Great fun.
I liked the characters, the story and the outcome.
You know it’s going to be awesome, when Fortunate Son comes up in the soundtrack. Awesome cast too. :ok_hand_tone3:
Logan Lucky is a quirky, delightfully dunny heist movie by Steven Soderbergh, who is the master of heist dramas. With impeccable actors to work with, Soderbergh associates each scene and binds it together in the end for a great experience. This one might not blow your mind away but still quite enjoyable because of the extremely talented cast and delightful humor.

"Logan Lucky" sees Steven Soderbergh back to heist films with the redneck version of "Ocean's 11". It's a lightheartedly fun and tastefully directed film, but ultimately lacks memorable moments or characters except for maybe Daniel Craig's Joe Bang.
While most heist films take time to explain the whole plan and variables beforehand, here we mostly find out things retroactively or as they are happening. It's a refreshing structure, but there are too many "set up" scenes that don't get properly explained until way later into the heist and ultimately drag the pacing down. The first half also takes a long time to introduce each character but never gets us emotionally involved.
Nothing groundbreaking, yet an enjoyable film with no highs and no lows.
I definitely enjoy this kind of mainstream films from Soderbergh rather than farthouse pretentious stuff like "Unsane".
It's a heist movie, with all the codes of the genre and and pretty good cast. So, of course it's enjoyable.
That being said, usually these things are thought up by pretty smart people, and here most of the people involved are dumb as fuck, so not really sure how that plan came to be. It also depends on way too many human elements, not only to participate but also whose every reactions had to be anticipated as if they knew them intimately enough for that.
The redneck atmosphere is heavy, very heavy, too heavy.
As is expected in the genre, there is a final twist, ... that is stupid and totally useless. It's extremely obvious that he didn't give back all the money. The exact same thing could have been done with the initial bags and not giving them all back.
It worked exactly the same, without the need for a complete secondary plan with other exit, other method of extraction, and without a fake double cross that implied the second plan was to be executed without telling the others by adding extra distractions.
Maybe the Bang bros were too stupid to be in the know ? Well there are also too stupid during the period they think there is no money or after they give it to them.
It added a lot of risks to the initial plan, plus the risks of the secondary one, also meant more people were involved. For zero benefits. So yeah, it was really forced in there, but made zero sense.
Definitely the Game of Thrones joke was way above this movie. It feels almost wasted to have used it here.
Also aren't these little girls pageants one of the creepiest thing ever ?
Funny and simple with good perfomances from Craig especially.6.5/10
Classic. I loved those redneck accents. Adam Driver is awesome in this too.
Well, it’s not the greatest movie by any means but it’s a fun watch and you can tell it is from Steven Soderbergh as it is very Oceans like and if you like those films you’ll like this for sure.
Some really great performances, with Adam Driver, Channing Tatum and Daniel Craig killing it in their parts but Hillary Swank comes in near the end of the film and here line delivery is awful and gets really annoying.
But I recommend giving this film a watch if you wanna see something fun with a bit a comedy and a pretty cool heist :person_shrugging_tone3:
What a joyride! You can actually see that everyone -especially Daniel Craig- were in for it. But i have to be honest with you here. Soderbergh made the Origin-Ocean-Saga and i really liked the first Ocean A LOT. So i am not objective here.
But this hillbilly-oceans-heist thing is great. Realls great.
Solid story and some pretty great performances all round elevate this dumb, comedic caper to something much better than its premise would have you believe. Game of Thrones joke felt a little dated and tacky due to my late viewing, but that didn't deflate all the other good humour on display.
I enjoyed It, some good chemistry from the cast, all put on a good accent but did drag on a little and thought the ending could of been better to how It left it.
The hillbilly accents get annoying after a while, but it's a fun ass movie with a hot ass Riley in it.
A fun heist/comedy. With this cast it might not have reached the heights in which it hoped but it is worth the time.

Loved this movie... funny throughout. A Redneck Oceans 11 as others have said.
Other reviews all had the word 'fun' - and I concur. This movie was fun with some funny moments. One armed bartender scene was memorable. Love the NASCAR cameos - Carl Edwards as a trooper - classic.

Very fun little heist flick, and a welcome return for the director. It's refreshing that the movie has fun with redneck culture without making fun of it. Soderbergh really likes his heist movies eh...?
Not as sharp as I would hope from a Soderbergh movie. Entertaining enough, but nothing special.
I felt that gays and non caucasian were missrepresented in the redneck community :(

This movie is a lot of fun with some funny moments. More of a heist movie than a comedy. Daniel Craig is great in this, I loved seeing him do something so different than James Bond. The Game of Thrones joke was the one of the funniest parts of the whole movie. Get you shit together George R.R. Martin.
