A youthful, vital, virale Macbeth (what a hunk is this Ian Lake) - a new spin on The Scottish Play. This is a wonderful, action packed, adventure from our famous Canadian Stratford Festival. The acting is superb (Krystin Pellerin plays Lady Macbeth with great grace), the staging is dynamic, and the interpretation of Shakespeare's beloved tragedy is riveting. Well done and equal to the action adventures playing in our movies. I give it a 9 (superb) out of 10. And I have a humbling confession to make - after watching so much good UK theatre this year, it was a bit of a shock to hear Shakespearean verse being spoken with a Canadian accent, even though it is my native accent.
