Mama Turns 100 1979

[FlixOlé] A sui generis sequel to "Ana and the wolves" (1973) that obviates the ending to recover most of its characters. With a more surreal tone, and in a certain way closer to the cinema of Luis Buñuel, the matriarch acquires a greater role, and becomes an omnipresent figure who feels and knows all the secrets of the inhabitants of a house that is represented in herself. It is a more open film that nevertheless continues to show Spain's inability to shed the scars of the dictatorship (Fernando trying to fly without ever succeeding). And closes the most interesting stage of the filmography of Carlos Saura.
