Masquerade 1988

Masquerade attempts to cover too many genres in one movie, and thats it's weakness. It at times is all over the place, following along with the occasionally overly ominous John Barry score. I really enjoyed Meg Tilly's performance which reminds us to regret her retirement from acting while her sister Jennifer continues to "act". We have more plot twists here than the movie "Clue". Rob Lowe's performance was pretty standard for him, but this movie might have been hyped up by his famous sex tapes that were released at the same time. No one will ever accuse him of being a great actor but he is believable in this part. The movie is worth watching, if not just to see some early appearances by Dana Delaney and Doug Savant(Tom on Desperate Housewives).
