Meh.... Its good-ish, but not brilliant.

It is not bad, but it's also not good, in my opinion. The voice actors are great though!

DreamWorks Animation presents the ultimate no-holds-barred contest in Monsters vs. Aliens. The story follows a group of monsters hidden away at a top secret military base who get a chance at freedom when the U.S. government calls upon them to stop a giant alien robot that’s attacking San Francisco. With the voice talents of Reese Witherspoon, Will Arnett, Seth Rogen, and Kiefer Sutherland, the cast is pretty impressive. However, the characters are a little cartoony and played more for laughs than storytelling. But this works for the style of comedy that the film is going for, and the jokes are rather good; mixing parody and slapstick quite well. Though it tends to be a little silly at times, Monsters vs. Aliens is a brawl not to be missed.

I knew "Monsters Vs. Aliens" was going to click with me. Being a sci-fi and monster movie freak, I really appreciated the nods given to some great old sci-fi movies here. These were not just pop culture references that no one will remember over time, but salutes to true classics like "The Blob", "Creature From the Black Lagoon", and "Mothra".

Much of this movie stunned me with its ability to project the size and scale of the characters and action scenes. This was impressively demonstrated during an attack on the Golden Gate bridge and the initial encounter with the alien probe. When the probe and the monster "Insectosaurus" came face to face on either side of the bridge, it was a great giant monster movie, geek moment. The 3D was very well done and had a few people in the theater (including me) jumping back in their seats. The alien probe stomping through the city was equally impressive.

Stephen Colbert as the President and Seth Rogen as "B.O.B. the blob" provided the biggest laughs, which DreamWorks animation movies continually deliver. It is becoming pointless to say that the animation was top-notch; DreamWorks releases always look great.

Seth Rogen steals the show as the voice of B.O.B. While everyone is ingood form as well. The film itself has a fun groovy feel to it.

A perfect tribute to the monster movies, it takes all the cliches to make an intelligent comedy. The humor is super silly but the truth is it's very my type, I know the movie is not impressive at all but I loved it in every way.
