I went to the cinema when it came out and I generally love movies especially fantasies. However, I have to say this is the only movie screening I have ever left after 20 minutes. Total disappointment and money waster.

Hailed as "the Russian LoTR" this flick about the never ending battle between good (The Light Others / Nigth Watch) and evil (The Darkness Others / Day Watch) was a huge disappointment for me: although the story has a great potential (how and why "The One" chose the Darkness) it fails in most other aspects: why is there next to no sorcery to be seen, why are "the Dark Others" suddenly mere vampires and where are the promised thrills? I wouldn't recommend this flick to anyone...
