More drama than horror. I thought the actress played the tragedy effectively when she needed to. Dack Rambo was good. He didnt come across as a leading man, but more of an everyman, which made him more relatable at times. There were a lots of slower scenes that were just OK. They had some atmosphere but could have been stronger or at least stylish. Strange because it's the same person that gave us The Car, and that had lots of style. It wasn't too gritty a drama. It didn't shove the despair down your throat all the time, and that was good but if left a gap. The movie needed something to change the relentless ongoing tone. Mayne it tried to be natural too much or it was just too simple a story. It was stagnant but it wasnt awful. Essentially this movie is about a relationship in crisis and a tough revenge decision. The revenge isn't like a Steven Seagal epic cheese fest. It has repercussions that further effect the relationship, but even that could have been pushed. The ending dragged out. This could have been a great movie with some extra thought and care put into it.
