It’s funny to know that this movie was intended to come out before the pandemic, because by releasing it now it might provide some unintentional food for thought for the morons who believe that a certain virus was actually conceived in a lab.
I genuinely wonder if those people will read that far into this film, I’d find it deeply amusing.
The good news is that there are definetely a lot of things this does better than Spectre.
The action is memorable and way more visceral (though it doesn’t quite surpass the Mission Impossible Fallout bar) and the characters are generally more interesting.
I loved the women in this in particular, they all have distinct personalities and they’re not flawless human beings or overpowered (e.g. Ana de Armas is bubbly and fun, but at the same time she’s inexperienced and chaotic), like some blockbusters tend to do.
At the same time, we shouldn’t pretend that this film invented strong female characters for Bond, especially after we’ve had Eva Green and Judi Dench.
Meanwhile, James Bond himself has a very satisfying arc in this film, which isn’t too dissimilar to Tony Stark’s arc in Avengers Endgame , with a bold pay off in the third act. I’m happy that this film gave us confirmation that Mads Mikkelsen didn’t end up castrating Bond during that scene in Casino Royale.
It’s paced very well, more like a traditional action film and less like a drama, which was the case for Skyfall and Spectre. Don’t let the runtime intimidate you, it doesn’t feel longer than 2 hours.
And finally, the whole thing just looks great, it’s produced excuisetely. The cinematography isn’t quite Skyfall level, but Roger Deakins is an impossible bar to clear for any cinematographer.
Unfortunately, this film really struggles with its tone, bouncing between some cartoony stuff and very dark, dramatic moments.
It wants to honor the traditional Bond stuff, but at the same time it can’t let go of the roots of the Daniel Craig iteration, which makes it feel like an uneven artistic vision, because the foundation of Craig’s Bond rests on this idea that this isn’t the traditional Bond.
It’s going for the same tone as Skyfall, meaning its pretty serious, while also incorporating some campy stuff with the plot and the villain (but never going into straight up silly territory, like Spectre).
The problem is that you could still take the villain and the plot seriously in Skyfall (Bardem is still scary despite the camp, the hacking plot feels grounded), and that isn’t the case here, the plot goes too much into sci-fi territory for that.
Also, Rami Malek didn’t leave much of an impression on me, the accent is wonky and he feels like a stock villain (very much like Waltz in the last film). There’s not really an interesting motivation there, or an interesting evil plan. It’s a campy and theatrical plan, and it feels very familiar.
Finally, this film can be fairly predictable at times (for example: Matilde being Bond’s daughter was extremely obvious, but they still try to somewhat play it as a twist. The same goes for Lea Seydoux being framed in prologue.).
So, it’s good, it pushes the creative boundaries of what a Bond movie is in some ways, which is the best stuff.
But I kinda hope they bring in someone with a fresh, fully realized artistic vision to really shake things up again for the next reboot.

Im kind of sad about the Craig-era ending, but it was a great ride with a good ending. I really like that the whole James Bond-franchise became more action-based and less about goofy henchmen and gadgets. He was the first Bond that could actually kick someones ass. I really doubt that about all the previous ones.
Anyway, the action in No Time To Die was awesome, as expected. The fights, chases, etcetera were all good. The music is amazing (I still can't get enough of the classic Bond tunes). I didn't really care for the whole 'new 007'-bit. But the performances of Craig, Malek and all the others were great. Emotional at times, but mostly bad ass. All in al, they did a good job to tie the whole Craig-saga together and I enjoyed it very much. Worth the wait.
A poor send-off for the great Daniel Craig. The action is lacklustre compared to previous outings and resembles a first-person shooter game for much of the time. The love interest is flat and uninspiring, Rami Malek's villain intones nonsensical, cliched dialogue in a disinterested manner and the whole thing takes far too long to go nowhere. The only bold and interesting choice comes right at the end of the movie but it is too late to redeem this flabby effort.
What a sequence of BS. I mean Bond plots were always crazy and I am very generous when it comes to plot holes (trust me there are a lot) but what exactly is this guy's motivation? Is it because his face is scarred? Why was he hunting Spectre and Blofeld (forgive my ignorance but is that because Mr. White worked with Spectre - how the hell am I supposed to know with whom a minor character in one of the previous movies was affiliated?) Why wanted he Felix and Bond dead? And why did he take Mathilde and Madeleine hostage? How are they or Bond important to him in the grand scheme of things? What illicit or legal operations financed his massive clandestine operation? Or is that some sort of Zen inspired cloister with WMDs? Plus, why was there need for an urgent bombardment? I don't understand the rush. It's not as if the poison was about to be launched in intercontinental rockets any moment (and the other agencies will probably find out about MI6's secret weapon anyway). Plus, if that's poison, would you bomb that island and disperse any liquid? What could possibly go wrong?
This movie is about 2 hours too long, cause the writers had an overlong checklist: visit at least 4 continents and 6 exotic locations (Italy and the bomb shelter are actually marvelous) in a rapid sequence, show 2 wonderful women (and who wouldn't find dangerous Paloma gorgeous - best 10 minutes of the movie), have 100 stunts, have two kinds of DNA based/ DNA activated WMDs, 20 fist fights in tight spots, 80 Landrovers and every other possible vehicle that is imaginable, and bring all lose ends from previous movies to an end (the bromance with Felix, Vesper, Blofeld, Spectre, Bond and whatnot).
It's a mediocre movie at best. There's not a single iconic moment that will be remembered. It's just explosions. Even Bond's death is inconsequential. There will be another Bond.
Ana de Armas was the best thing in this film. Brought some life into the movie. A good bond movie but far from Daniel Craig's best.

First at the beginning James Bond doesn't work for MI6 and the 007 number is given to a black woman, then James Bond meets his daughter, James Bond daddy, .... and the best of all the elimination of all the members of SPECTRE.
And the worst thing is the end > James Bond is simply killed. I find this very irrespectful against Daniel Craig who has always invested himself in the interpretation of 007. He has even been physically injured on the set several times. Certainly he will return with a new interpreter? At the point where we are why not an obese 18 years, in a wheelchair, with piercings and vegan.
Can’t stand Craig as James Bond and how they’ve gone all drama. This is my favorite of the Craig series because he dies at the end… hopefully we’ll get a lil more happy go lucky James B like in the old days…
We have watched every single James Bond. No idea what franchise this movie was part of but it wasn't James Bond.
An exciting action film typical of the franchise with 007 saving the world, loved it. I particularly enjoyed the small role of Paloma by Ana de Armas, she sparkled playing that part. In all honesty I could see a Paloma spin off, at least one. We're due for a new action film heroine to arise and I'm not overly enthusiastic about a female Bond. Hope to see Paloma again.
When it is a Bond movie, your expectations are at a high level. OK, we know the history but this is nothing more than an ordinary action movie.
It is sad to see Bond movies evolving latest years. I remember old ones were full of extreme scenes which can be only done by Bond and full of never-forgotten sayings where they call those into your attention frequently. Everything is becoming lame so these movies are.
They should follow the original casting from the book. There should not be a gay Q, female 007, or etc. In general, I am not opposed to any of those but this is the way of a Bond movie. I am disappointed.
An extremely solid farewell for the Craig era.
Though not a prefect Bond film by any means, it has a great deal to like - with a few forgivable foibles.
What's to like?
An intriguing setup and another time jump for Daniel Craig. This time at least 5 years has passed from the last outing. This gives us something to work with and opens the door to a few curveball.
(spoiler) The first section up until Felix Leiter's demise was excellent. Loved the Cuba section and the backstory had been paced well up to that point. The pacing throughout is very good - but from that point on I felt a few things could have benefited from some backstory or explanation and that was absent.
(major spoiler) The surprise offspring. Excellently done. He knows despite what he is told. And for a short time, he has a true meaning in his life. Very touching and I think they didn't overdo it for sentimality. They just let it breathe naturally and it worked well.
The direction and cinematography were fantastic. Original shots and use of really grand sets and views. Well done to all involved, it looks great.
What's not to like?
(spoiler) Who is the nemesis exactly? It looks like Scaramanga's Island, and Dr No's lair inside. He talks of his father being an assassin yet he isn't actually named. Would it not have been wiser to name him clearly and wrap up Blofeld and the others with a bow? Or would that be too final for Bond and it run the risk he never gets another film outing...?
The replacement double-0. Didn't exactly have the same skills as Bond did she? If an old Bond was far superior, it leaves you fretful for the future of the 00-programme...! She redeemed herself towards the end but I didn't warm to her at all as she was unnecessarily combative and the soften came too late and limply.
Overall
A few more explanatory sequences would have been my only requests. It's hard to undo the damage that Spectre did to the Craig franchise (it really is a stinker of a film) but they did well to pull the realism lever back towards Skyfall.
A worthy send off for Craig. A brave way to end any Bond film.
The next guy to carry the mantle will benefit from a slate wipe just as all other Bonds have. I hope the producers refrain from the slow degradation into nonsense that plagued Brosnan and now Craig.
The evidence of this is that perhaps they are finally learning their lesson.
I can't wait to rewatch this when it gets home release.

It's boring, full of plot holes, the woke stuff is idiotic like the writer of this movie, forgettable villain and mary sues, the best thing is craig's bond is dead, unfortunately they kill the whole franchise with him.
Bloody Hell!!!!!! What a send-off to Daniel Craig's Bond.
Literally, one of the best films I have seen this year and I have to say one of my favourite Bond films, the action was beautiful and the story had me on the edge of my seat which the previous outing did not do for me. I have to say the reason I think this film is so great is it is the most unique out of all of the Daniel Craig films with pretty perfect directing from Cary Joji Fukunaga and also using the older films prior to Daniel Graig being used to inspire the films action, humour and just characters in general.
Also, I have to say the acting was great in this film as Daniel Craig (James Bond) is one of the best and he brings emotion to the character that no other Bond has, Lea Seydoux (Madeleine Swann) was used much better in this film and I believed her fear/love, Lashana Lynch (Nomi / 007) was a pleasant surprise as I am not a fan of hers but she had such great chemistry with Daniel Craig and sad we won't see them together. The biggest surprises were Christoph Waltz (Blofeld) who was a nothing villain in the previous film but in this, he just felt so much better even though he didn't have much screen time and Ana De Armas (Paloma) who really stole the show in her one scene and she literally had me in stitches but also was freaking badass.
Thank you Daniel Craig for giving us such a great outing but also thank you to everyone involved who made sure this film does not only do justice to the character but also the franchise, I think old fans and new fans are going to love this film. Please see it in the cinema as it was a beautiful cinema experience.
This isn’t a typical bond film. There’s too much introspection and too many cracks in the Bond veneer to qualify as just another Bond flick. Instead, the film is probably an attempt to modernize some of the classic elements of the franchise. Despite this laudable goal, No Time can’t be counted as a success. The story arch is severely underdeveloped and difficult to follow.
Goodness, what a perfect conclusion to the Daniel Craig era Bond. After Casino Royale, none of the sequels quite hit the same for me. Some got close, but some were quite weak. Until No Time to Die. Despite Rami Malek's slightly bland villain, everything else was perfect. Huge action set pieces, Craig giving a perfect performance, great supporting characters, and even some truly emotional beats make this a top notch Bond film, even with a nearly 3 hour running time. This was a near perfect 007 film.
As a life long James Bond fan I thought this movie was a fitting end to the Daniel Craig era as James Bond. I did not think it would be possible to top Casino Royale, however I think this movie did just that. I was entertained the whole way through. This will cement Daniel Craig's legacy as either the best actor to play James Bond or as an equal to Sean Connery.
One of the best bonds. Sad to see that at the end I would of liked him to of survived and had his family but apart from that it’s brilliant.

I am glad that Daniel Craig is ending his run as James Bond with this movie instead of Spectre. There were many moments that tie the other movies with this one and the first half is filled with good action sequences, and the cinematography was beautiful. Rami did well with what he had, but will not be a memorable villain for me.
What garbage did I just sit though. BORING. Probably the worst bond movie I've seen. They sure tell their plan right out in plain sight though.
I’m so very tired of the EVIL RUSSIAN TROPE. Maybe I’d like modern action movies if the villains weren’t always "Russians who want to destroy America/the world." No motivation, just being Russian is enough to be evil. Who else than a Russian!? What would Hollywood be if Russia didn’t exist? They would not have a single villain! The whole industry would’ve collapse if they didn’t have the Russians. Get a new plot line, already!
Rami Maleks vaguely Russian accent is an insult. Hollywood/Brits are allergic to hiring Russian actors to play ... Russians. Why, while there are tons of Russian-speaking actors in Hollywood/Britain you bring people who barely can pronounce simple phrases or even their names?
I couldn't finish this long car commercial. Bond, as per usual, behaves following the same logic as Bella in the Twilight Saga. The film is formulaic and utterly boring.
No Time to Die, but a lot of time to cry :cry: A beautiful send off to Daniel Craig as Bond.
This movie had some good things in there like the shot in the round corridor being a nice nod to the original set of '60s Bond movies, the portrait of mrs Dench in the hallway.... but the ending I could see coming by halfway the movie. And it makes me deeply saddened. Very disappointing. It destroys the movie for me.
Paloma as good as 007 to watch

Let me start off by saying that I might be a bit too positive but I don't care. Bond movies are the ones I grew up with thanks to my dad. We've seen all the ones up until Casino Royale together at home when my mother and I gave him that special edition Casino Royale box set with every Bond movie up until then on DVD along came a poker set. Before that I only really knew about the Pierce Brosnan movies and I enjoyed them a lot. We've had the most fun with the Roger Moore movies because he's just the most over-the-top Bond. The silly movies. But each of the movies never gave us a chance to be bored. Still love those times.
But Casino Royale brought me another kind of Bond along with Daniel Craig making him more human and the action these new kind of Bond films brought felt more brutal. He clicked for me as Bond as I entered my twenties and seen them all at the cinema (except for this one). There was a dud and some down the middle of road ones but they never bored me. What I try to explain with too many words is that James Bond is one of those movie franchises that I just adore. I know they aren't all cinematic wonders but they entertain me, a lot.
So with that being said No Time to Die is one of the best looking Bond movies out there. It is simply stunning. The action is fantastic but they tried to make it too big. The running time could've been fine if the villain Lyutsifer Safin played by Rami Malek would've been more interesting. I had more fun seeing Bond talking to Blofeld. Safin just felt meh and the foreshadowing of Bond dying was all out there. Just a little too much right?
Still it hurt seeing James Bond finally bite the dust. It could've been a little bit more cliche but who cares. It felt like the end of an era. Sixty years in the making. Loads of great action scenes, one-liners, humor, exotic locations, beautiful Bond-girls and iconic villains. Six different actors shined their light to the character and each brought something unique. But now all I have left to wonder is how will this franchise return? A new 007 would be great. Maybe there is a alternate universe? All we know is that the guy that has to follow up Daniel Craig has such huge shoes to fill that I wouldn't wish that to my worst enemy.
No Time to Die has it flaws but for me it is an entertaining final chapter to the Daniel Craig era of Bond. My favorite era.

This was a worthwhile film that was a good ending to Daniel Craig's James Bond. While I believe that some of his films have not been the best I believe that overall he has done a great job as the character. His 007 movies like Casino Royale are very well done, along with Skyfall which is at the top of my list for favorite espionage films. The ending was surprising and the film had a good amount of a heart. The villain on the other was terrible he was barley in the film and was just another revenge driven Bond villain. He cant match the screen presence of Silva or Blofeld leading to a very forgettable villain. Overall a good film that I will not forget for awhile goodbye Daniel Craig and thank you.
Surprisingly boring and sluggish, too many parts feel lazily strung together, as if the film is going through the motions of being a Bond film, with the budget and all, but without quite believing it. Too many scenes feel like ad-hoc plot devices. For instance: at some point they are in Norway and then running through a Jurassic Park forest to escape the bad guys. During the entire chase, the forest is full of fog, hardly any light penetrates. Moody. As soon as the Safin captures Madeleine, Bond's love interest, weirdly, the fog has left and the sun is shining, as Bond conveniently exits the forest: well it would make for a poor scene if there was too much fog for Bond to look up to the sky and actually see the helicopter taking away Madeleine now wouldn't it?
The villain supposedly has motivations, but they are trite and uninteresting, and the only memorable thing about him is that he is played by Rami Malek. The annoying secondary character doctor has a cliché Eastern European accent. Bond has been replaced at MI6 by a young, competent, black woman. But she never gets any actual chance to be more than a supporting character. And on, and on. It feels all the attempts to modernise Bond sort of fall flat, as does, eventually, the whole film.
This was a fantastic James Bond movie!

Most of the action scenes were boring, gadgets were neither innovative nor interesting.
New 007 went on my nerves from minute one with her "Does that make you angry?" Which I assume was meant for the audience and not Bond...
To top it all off: No Bond girls (Madeleine doesn't really count and I hope that no one counts the daughter...)
If she is going to lead the future movies, I can tell you right now: I'm not going to watch it.
Its not a bad movie, but other than the names being used, its not a Bond movie either.
Good thing though: Other than the passive aggressiveness of the new 007 the SJW-crowd seemingly didn't manage to take over the franchise (yet). So there is hope it will survive.
They killed James Bond for a female 007. Next target--Superman. Beyond the usual misandrist brainwash, another Hollywood action movie that fails to innovate. Been there, done that.
The writing quality sure has taken a nosedive since Casino Royale. I don't recall all the enemies being such stormtroopers in previous instalments; you get an extra dose of wokeness with the new 007 agent; and then a Rami Malek who doesn't cut it–too young to be consistent with the story, can't hide being American, and his lines are delivered like he's reciting announcements.
Both villains can't just be human beings, they have to be dramatically philosophical about everything they have to say. The obsession with hurting Bond emotionally rather than simply killing him... when that gets in the way of a masterplan involving nanotech factories and genocide, you stretched it too far. Safin could have killed Bond and his girls several times over but basically chose to die to pull off a trick.
An okay finish but I genuinely thought Spectre was a more fitting ending.
"If I’d left it at Spectre, something at the back of my head would have been going, ‘I wish I’d done one more.’ I always had a kind of secret idea about the whole lot in my head, and where I wanted to take it. And Spectre wasn’t that. But this feels like it is."
The above quote is from Daniel Craig, which I find interesting because I was thinking quite the opposite as I watched the ending to No Time to Die. The ending to Spectre sees Bond unambiguously choosing love with Swann over the job, walking to her on a bridge and tossing his gun into the river. This was after they escaped the implosion of the former MI6 building, a final remnant of Bond's time with Judi Dench's portrayal of M. Along with the subplot of eliminating the 00 program for modern spy methods, Spectre really felt like closing the chapter of Craig's Bond.
No Time to Die just felt like more of the same, making the goodbye too long. There really isn't anything new here. In many ways, it felt like Spectre with attempts to up the ante for justification. But at heart, Bond is in the same position: he no longer wants the job because he's found something better. For all of the film's other problems, Spectre's ending felt like just the right amount: we know he chooses Swann but it's left to our imaginations what they do next. Yet, there is absolutely no ambiguity with No Time to Die. Further, it felt like there was no thematic purpose in his death or their child other than an attempt at emotional gravity. Where Spectre was simple, No Time to Die felt overly complex. Just because it's goodbye doesn't mean it has to be heavy handed.
Setting the story aside, everything else was of the same caliber of the other Craig Bond films. Cinematography, action sequences, and supporting roles were all well done. In fact, I thought the supporting cast was the best we've seen so far with Craig's Bond. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching it and Spectre was a heavily flawed film as well. I would rate Spectre just above this film but they're both at the bottom. Casino Royale and Skyfall were masterful and even Quantum of Solace had its moments. To me, these three were clearly on another level compared to Spectre and No Time to Die.
In short, despite all of Spectre's flaws, I think it would have been more satisfying to keep its ending for Craig's incredible portrayal of James Bond.
If this had been released in 2020 as originally planned, it might have challenged the pandemic for the worst thing of the year. At its best it’s a throughly bland story of a guy being miserable and tortured. (Bit like the dreadful title track) No bond magic, all the usually wow set pieces seem like a retreat of previous films .
So what do I really hate, the fact they gave bond a daughter ? No that’s just about what I’d expect from this rubbish.
Do I hate they killed bond ? Yes but only because there was no real reason, the island they bombed had no immediate threat. bond is meant to stand for queen and country, surely the action they took would lead to a less safe world and potentially a wider conflict. It’s basically suicide because he couldn’t see his girlfriend and daughter anymore, not exactly to character is it. Well done Danny Boyle for walking away from this.

If you, like me, had some doubts about Daniel Craig’s as a 007, No Time To Die has changed that. The non stop action and suspense thrilled me, proving that the bumped up running time was worth every minute. It has everything you want and expect in a bond film plus more. Just a few characters at M16 were a tad bitchy but tolerable, at least they try keep us safe from the bad guys.
Still feeling this could be my favourite bond film.
Oh my God, what was this? This was by far my biggest disappointment of the Covid era big movies. First it was way too long for no good reason.
The ending infuriated me. Was that the response in the first sight of trouble? To die and abandon your family? Don't they know that science advances? Maybe in few years they can create things to counter that. Especially that it's synthetic nanobots. They can create nanobots that go inside and kill them. We can create vaccines that attack biological viruses. Attacking computer made stuff should be easier. In worst case scenario, they know that zoom and Skype exist, right? Doesn't he want to stay isolated and see her daughter and talk to her for longer? And they had the gall to say at the end, James Bond will return? Really? As the walking dead?
This was Daniel Craig's worst Bond by far for me. I just consider this never happened. The last movie had a pretty good ending.

After the last few Bond films have got predictable I was prepared for this just to be something on in the background while doing other things. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes it's Bond saves the world plot was there, but there was more of a sub plot with a storyline.
It was good to see some of the Aston Martins have the cobwebs blown off them, Bond isn't Bod without the Astons. The finale was a fitting tribute to Daniel Craigs portrayal of the character and when you leave a franchise like this you want to go out with a bang.
A commendable farewell to Craig's Bond in the franchise's most emotional entry. Starts out great and looses its pace towards the ending. The new villain is too bland and the conclusion is obvious early on. Wonderful stunt-work and good cinematography.
That was ONE HELL of an ending to the amazing run of Daniel Craig as James Bond, I don't think I'll ever forget it.
I've seen most of the James Bond films that have been made but this one was just something different.

With Casino Royale, Martin Campbell established a more grounded James Bond, rooting the spy in the real world as much as that was possible. It worked like a charm and Daniel Craig silenced all those who doubted his chops to be James Bond. Marc Forster kept the vibe of the "new" Bond in the worst Bond movie of Craig series. When I say worst I don't mean a bad movie, just one that's not quite on par with the rest. Sam Mendes made Skyfall and Spectre, my two favorite movies of the series that stand shoulder to shoulder with the amazing Casino Royale, all while adding his own brilliant Mendes touch to the Bond universe.
No time to die sends Daniel Craig off with a bang. His series will be a memorable one and it successfully brought James Bond into the modern world. My biggest regret is that one of the greats, either Campbell or Mendes, couldn't helm this project. I feel they would have done a far more memorable job of allowing Craig to take a box than Cary Joji Fukunaga did.
No time to die is all over the place, tries to be too many movies wrapped into one. Ana de Armas, Jerrfrey Wright, Rami Malek, Ben Whishaw and Cristoph Walth were atrociously underused. It had just dawned on me that, had it been possible, it should have been a two part movie. The first should have given Bond and Madeline time to become what this movie tries to sell them as, two broken people who have successfully mended one another. Ending the first movie on the "betrayal" would have hurt even more. The reunion in the "sequel" would have had more weight behind it. Seydoux and Craig's talent sold it in the little time they had in this movie, they would have made it spectacular given more time. The weight of the last five minutes of this movie would have had far more impact on the audience. As it is, only the fact that it is Daniel Craig's last Bond movie that lends itself to the emotional conclusion.

While Craig is still the best bond ever and the action here is amazing, I don’t like to see all the fragility’s of this bond exposed. There is no heroic ending, just a guy that was not able to fix himself and ends up being manipulated by one of worst villains in bond history. Literally Mr Robot was such a big disaster has the villain that I was more concerned on parenting issues than the threat he was posing.
If you think about, Bond doesn’t die to save anybody, he dies because he gave up. Bond dying by “suicide” is disrespectful for the decade long heroe.
I believe the confusion that Spectre created in its plot did allow to build a convincing relationship of bond and Madelyn. In 1/2 of a movie, Vesper was a lot more intense. So when in this movie the drama depends on it, I am not convinced and I just a silly old bond crying.
Hands up for the final action sequence with a steady cam, truly bringing to bond franchise the John wick style!
As a final note, I am not sure if Bond will comeback soon. Craig had a huge impact and it will remain on our minds for long. The next will always be compared. And, honestly, I believe we has a society no longer like the stereotypes related with bond. Maybe the time is up
Best Daniel Craig Bond movie, ever. The Daniel Craig era of Bond changed the tone of the franchise towards a brooding and darker palette which, quite honestly, took a little getting use to. (For a great recap of these follow this link https://www.imdb.com/video/vi362857241). That being said, this is the cap to all that preceded it. The casting was spectacular. The acting was spot on. The locations were beautiful. The music was haunting and well chosen. The writing was complex and layered. Indeed, the almost 3 hours seemed to pass quickly. I give this film a hearty 10 (iconic Craig) out of 10. [Thrilling Action Adventure]

Watch Spectre before watching this, even if you've already seen it.
This will prevent you from scratching your head in confusion for the first half of the movie. It's been 6 years, I completely forgot about the events and characters in Spectre and they are pretty much required knowledge unless you don't care about the details of who is who and what is what at all.
Having said that, No Time to Die was an okay bond movie. It has some of the classic, humorous, near impossible, bond moments from the old bond movies while also having the more serious, emotional, sometimes frustrating, moments we expect to see in the modern ones.
Goodbye Mr. Bond. Your death was phenomenal.
Disappointing. Nothing really special plot wise, at the finale a contrived reason to get rid of Daniel Craig as 007.
Also, Raml Malek and Lea Seydoux are pretty much of the same age. Yet somehow they want me to believe that Malek's character killed her mom when she was like 6. This makes him about 10 years old at that time. .
And as I said, the ending Where bond just kills himself because (I guess) he has no will to live when he can't touch Lea or his daughter no more is pretty ridicules. A week before those events, he lived without Lea just fine for years. And even if in this week his life 100% was centered on Lea and his daughter, they are still better off with him being alive and not able to touch them than him being dead. What happens when the next bad guy tries to harm them? .
Technically this wasn't bad. I'm giving this a "5" because the plot was an appendix to a story that pretty much was concluded after Spectre. It felt completely unnessessarry and un-Bond. A complete construct to milk out another movie. I could write more about the movie itself but even without reading through 145 comments I'm sure everything has already been said. So I just say:
I hope this was the last Bond movie, which it isn't of course.
And how can James Bond return as teased after the credits? Logically that can only mean he didn't die at the end. Because if he did and someone else becomes 007 it's not James Bond. Just let him rest.
A true work of art in every possible sense. I loved every moment of the film, every performance and every story. I loved the connections to old elements, the association to new elements, and the resurgence of long lost connections. I loved the script, the dedication of each, and the suspense they both created. On the part of the director and his team, I must say that each and every choice made resulted in the culmination of a true masterpiece. I enjoyed every moment I spent with this James Bond and, despite certain doubts, I loved the continuity they showed throughout the James Bonds starring Daniel Craig. I am extremely curious to see who will take the reins of this magnificent and honorable role, since Mr. Craig left a mark in my heart with his performance in this saga. Despite my love for Casino Royale (since I was a kid), Goldeneye, and the hated but loved (by me) Quantum of Solace, this movie has become my favorite James Bond and will certainly get on my list of favorite movies. Keep it up, Cary Joji Fukunaga. A work that I will certainly revisit in the near future, as the 2 hours and 43 minutes of runtime feels like 5 minutes.

A bit of a disappointment, considering it’s the last film with Craig as Bond and the director’s previous works. It was just an amalgamation of seen-before (many times) story elements with a ver poorly written villain, and some very gimmicky tech. There were a few predictable “twists” that just didn’t have the emotional impact intended. All in all, a very technically sound but emotionally lukewarm film.
I do not know much about James Bond in order to be able to compare this film with the previous ones in the franchise, and I am not particularly fond of this genre of American action movies. It seems however quite a decent action movie, not much in terms of the plot, and a bit too long and stretched, but it works to entertain for an abundant couple of hours.

This features lots of action with some exciting car chases and gunplay. Some of the car crashes carry a lot of impact and are brutal, which is cool. There isn't as much of Bond engaging in fisticuffs, but Daniel Craig isn't getting any younger. This time Bond is a little more sensitive when it comes to his relationships but not with enemies, he's fierce with them. The main villain is Safin, who is more weird than lethal. The motivation for his evil plan is not convincing but it's demented and the scale is large.
It turns out that the pre-movie controversy in the news over the use of "007" was entirely silly, in fact, it ends up bringing some warmth to the story. The ending is surprising if you've managed to steer clear of spoilers. The way that they set up the potential for more Bond movies with a new lead was clever.
I haven't rewatched the Daniel Craig Bond films for a long time, but I'd rank No Time to Die smack dab in the middle of the list.
I expected so much more based on the promising reviews. This is hardly a James Bond movie, but rather a Daniel Craig character being a father protecting his daughter. Also, Rami Malik’s villain was very underwhelming. Blofeld and Silva were much better villains.
All in all, James Bond can’t be a family man so let’s just kill him.

Very expectable plot up to the end and not really meaningful, good effects and cars, the element of empty women can’t be missed Bond’s movies as well, the music is good though. Award to Craig with a face paralysis that can’t even let him smile a single time and to Malek the real actor of the movie

Good ending to the Daniel Craig Bond era
Depending on which Bond has been your favorite from the several who have played him, this might not be flashy enough. Daniel Craig's Bond has always been more like Sir Sean Connery's, so less flash and more evil. But I think almost all Bond fans will still enjoy it. It's a little shocking at certain points as they eliminate certain key players. The ending isn't what any Bond fans will expect. I sure as hell didn't see it, except got a feeling there in one of the last scenes because I saw an interview with Craig saying this is the absolute last one. It is a magnificent send off.
To me, maybe a couple scenes could have been better, but really 9.5 . I debated round down or up and decided it deserved the round up.
It's long, so non Bond fans might be a bit whiny about it. Honestly, to me they left a little bit they shouldn't have on the floor because it was getting long. A little more in a couple of scenes would've put it at 10. Hoping they release a director's cut.

The big screen shows breathtaking scenery, skillfully captured action and great emotions.
No Time to Die attempts to tie together the strands of the previous Craig flicks, and it certainly succeeds. And although it doesn't seem like it was ever planned to end this way, the development of this character and the story is enjoyable.
For my part, I should have re-watched the previous films beforehand, as I didn't really understand many an allusion and perhaps didn't appreciate one or two scenes adequately. On the other hand, the film worked quite well on its own. One rhymes then just something together.
What I personally didn't like: Craig seemed a bit too old for the role in this film. The action with him was much more leisurely than in the previous films, for example. I also couldn't stand the new 007. She had absolutely zero charisma. Quite in contrast to Ana de Armas, who was the highlight of the film in the 10 minutes of screentime, and not only because of her dress. Her role was incredible. Her interplay with Craig was fantastic. I loved how they drank together, how they acted and then how Ana took out a couple of antagonists at the end of her short stint. Like many before me, I wish I could see more of her.
The story told here is a game of intrigue, love and drama. It all basically works together wonderfully. First and foremost, the dramatic part once again took a much larger place, which I appreciated due to the impending end of the Craig era.
I had fun with the film, I was entertained, I didn't like some scenes and I hated the ending. Anyway. All in all, what came was kind of inevitable. And in that respect, somehow everything was done right.
Better than I thought it would be. the story has so many giant plot holes and it could have been 40 min shorter but all in all that to bad

I am sad to see Daniel Craig go. But this was a great swan-song for his outings as Bond. They went back to the ol' huge (mostly) underground, fantastical island lair for the bad guy. At least the bad guy repurposed an old missile base rather than building his own brand new, what would certainly, be a multi-trillion $ lair. lol The action was good - lots of fun practical stunts.

Overly long but entertaining and a fitting end to Daniel Craig's James Bond persona. Craig gave his full involvement physically in this movie and the stunts were again over the top, and sometimes a bit unbelievable, probably thanks to CG. Ana De Armas absolutely stole the sequence in Cuba, and isn't even on the actors list below..
Great movie from start to finish. Also good ending for Daniel. Best of all the Daniel Craig movies in my opinion!

This was really boring and too long. Needed to split it into two sessions because I couldn't stand it.
Too. Damned. Long. This is undoubtedly one of the better Bond films. It plays down the silliness while still being fun. It's just way longer than any movie should be. I'll give it another watch soon (maybe after running through the DC Bond movies in order) but over two and a half hours is too long. Schedule an intermission maybe?
this movie was good but considering this is the last we see Daniel as 007 i expected them to go all out and make the craziest 007 movie ever since he elevated James Bond to a crazy level, wanted more action scenes, Safin to be the maddest and most dangerous terrorist ever, John Wick type of stuff but classy and much better and international level you know, James stuff! but no it was decent and dare to say sometimes boring. i wanted to see more of Paloma and her interaction with James but it was like a camero. safin basically had no story or anything to say about him, spectre was a terrifying group and you can see so much was on the line and the organization and meetings and such but this one was a downgrade. im sorry and im apologizing to myself because i love james bond so much and i wanted daniel to cement his legacy here and he already did tbh but i wanted him to go with a bang but it wasnt it, my expectations was high and i didnt care about critics or anything, but it still was good and im excited for the next era to kick in. -M

A must watch if you have seen all the other Bond’s featuring Daniel Craig, you won’t be disappointed
No Time To Die starts where Spectre ends and is definitely a befitting closure to Daniel Craig's James Bond Character. No Time to Die offers jaw-dropping action sequences, cool technological advancements, wicked humor, and a sensual relationship between Bond and Madeleine. The screenplay is scratchy though and times become more conversational but overall the narrative and mystery keep you guessing and anticipating. Cary Joji Fukunaga doesn't compromise on the locations of the shoot as the film opens in a snow-filled location, goes to Norway during cross-country car chases. Stunts were filmed in the forests of Cairngorms, and at the Ardverikie Estate on the shores of Loch Laggan. Bond 25 ends on a disputed island between Russia and Japan. The end made me a tad emotional with the way it concludes. No Time To Die is a brilliant Bond film to cherish.

The more I think about the different scenes in this movie, the certain characters and how much time was or was not given to them, the cool music that was drowned under deafening gun sounds, the smaller my score gets. It used to be 7.

It‘s the best of the Bonds with Craig in it. Doesn’t match the old ones but nevertheless an enjoyable movie.
The action was good, the story ok, humor was fine. Despite the length it didn’t lag.
But: a Bond without toys (except the old Austin, the watch and the „plane“) is no bond. And he didn’t even end up in any beds, how could that be???

Never seen a Bond movie in the cinema. This was a poor introduction. Very, very overlong, and very frequently boring, including often in the "exciting" bits. The only moments that really made me sit up in amazement were the motorbike stunts early on (but I'd already seen those in the trailer) and trying to work out exactly how that stunning Cuban dress worked...
I wasn’t a big fan of daniel craig as james bond and his movies beforehand were alright but not brilliant but he’s proven me wrong with no time to die thats become my favourite James bond, plot was sound, one liners were fun, action was class and the cast were great but wasn’t a big fan of lashana’s character or even acting and ana de armas should of had more time with her character.
There are all the things you expect from a Bond movie here…the one liners, the action, the lovemaking, the global locations…but it’s also a film that surprises, in more ways than one. I’m saying nothing more so as to avoid spoilers, but if you’re a Bond fan (particularly of the Craig era), you will like this. It’s not perfect - it drags around the midsection - but there is still a lot to enjoy.

Saw this in cinema last night, slept on it and can now share my thoughts.
In typical Bond fashion, NTTD is a blazing-fast ride from beginning to end that doesn’t bore for even a moment. The biggest positives for me were its humor, its sound design (Zimmer delivers with a much more modest OST than we’ve heard in his well-known bombastic projects), the acting (Craig is versatile, charming and disarming) and it had some of my favorite scenes in Bond films ever. That whole Italy sequence up until the title track starts is phenomenal and especially that scene with Bond and Madeleine in the bulletproof car. Another high for me was the scene leading up to the interrogation between Bond and Blofeld, even if its climax left me a little unsatisfied.
Less positive for me was the plot. I’m not even talking about the ridiculousness of the weapon in itself, but more about the quick acceptance of Bond’s fate at the end. These mad scientists came up with an out-of-this-world weapon, but it suddenly is a bridge too far to find an antidote for it? This wouldn’t normally bother me as much, but with this ending it really seemed like they wanted to have the film end a certain way only to afterward find ways to get to said end neatly. I also did not really feel Malek’s villain. Maybe I missed it, but I did not really get why he wanted to fulfill his plans. There was a little too much left in the open, for my taste.

A proper send-off for Daniel Craig, he did much for the franchise. One of the better Bond-films for sure, there's lots to like here. The acting is great, music fantastic and obviously the action is riveting. Even at 163 minutes, it does not drag - and even though I wanted more, the ending was perfect. It's exciting to discuss who will become the next Bond, but let's enjoy this ride first and let it sink in.
