Liam Neeson at its best.
Absolutely ridiculous plot, but a lot of fun, primarily because Neeson is so watchable. The first half is genuinely suspenseful despite the rather clumsy setup with the filmmakers keen to implicate as many suspects as possible before the threats become real. Red herrings abound, but initially clever plot twists that set up the hero gradually stretch credibility beyond breaking point even within the confines of a film that is designed to simply entertain. It is a shame the latter half of the film becomes increasingly ludicrous, losing any tension built as a result, but Neeson manages to keep it watchable.
Great beginning, great buildup and climax, not so good resolution though! Still Neeson was the best choice for this movie!
I guess Liam Neeson has found his groove. Just how many Action flicks has this guy been in over the past few years? From memory, I can recall "Taken", "Taken 2", Taken 3", "The Grey", "Unknown"...there may be more. It is a pretty cool thing that a 60+ year old man can become the hottest action hero in the Movies. That may be overstating it a bit, but again, look at how many Action films he's starred in recently.
"Non-Stop" is nothing original. All of the action takes place within the confines of a plane, albeit a rather large plane. Liam's character Bill Marks does some pretty incredible things for a washed-up, alcoholic cop but his skills aren't at the level of his "Taken" character. His sidekick is played by the almost always overrated Julianne Moore. She's sort of tolerable in this, but her presence just irritates me. That's my problem and I'm sure many will like her here.
The external shots of the plane are all CGI. It's notacable and I don't think they spent a lot of time on it. But that's just the way effects are done these days. It takes away most of the authenticity of the environment but I'm sure the film makers saved a lot of money over what it would have taken to do practical effects.
Effective, and a good exercise in intrigue and building tension for the first two acts.
And then the third act is complete junk and cheapens a lot of what you’ve seen before.
The filmmaking is very economical and average.
5/10
1) Best of Liam Neeson
2) Good Story
3) Great Thriller
The premise is intriguing, and director Jaume Collet-Sella delivers intermittent claustrophobic thrills, although he struggles to sustain momentum. Neeson isn't going to win an Oscar for this but he's re-affirmed his position as Hollywood's favourite and least likely action star.
Waaaa!!! This was a hell of a movie!!! So goood!!!
That was awesome!!I love every movie with Liam Neeson
Entertaining movie with a reasonable end...could be more surprising
Non-Stop was one exciting plane thriller!
If u can watch it for free, than do it. 7 out of 10. He's a great actor. Watch the movie: 3 days to kill. Better movie
Non-Stop is a thrilling ride that's perfect for fans of scripts with a Taken vibe. It delivers an intense and suspenseful ride, featuring a high-stakes situation and a protagonist who takes matters into his own hands. The tension builds throughout the movie, and the mystery keeps you guessing until the very end. If you love the kind of action-packed storytelling found in Taken, you'll definitely enjoy this one.
A rare rewatch for me. The entertainment holds up despite some aspects being completely asinine it's still a fun mile high thriller for me. Neeson in one of his best "post Taken action career" flicks. This was his second of four collaborations with director Collet-Serra (Unknown, Run All Night, The Commuter) and there's a chemistry there for sure. Upon rewatching it's remarkable how good the cast is and how well many of them have done since. 6.6 for me.
A fair movie, exactly that. Nothing more.
Las películas de "aviones" murieron para mi en los 90, que es donde pensaba se debían de haber quedado. Me he llevado una agradable sorpresa.
Very interesting thriller. I was too curious to know how it would end the film.
This movie was INCREDIBLE! Loved every minute! Can't wait for Taken 3! :)
Great film, if you enjoy Liam Nesson, and have ever seen Hell on Wheels/Halt and Catch Fire then you'll love this!
Super like it
It was a good movie, but couldn't they just release the bomb midair?
extremely enjoyable movie. simple action flick, but very well done. not too realistic, but suspenseful. one of the few movies that I know off which are entirely on board of an airplane and well done. Liam Neeson +1.
While it did not bring anything new to the table. I enjoyed watching this movie. It was a really refreshing distraction.
make a plot twist... and another plot twist and before finishing the plot twist it again. But hey it works, what an entertaining movie!
Straight-forward, simple action thriller. Liam being a badass, a villain with motivations that make sense, and no annoying love story subplot. Can't ask for me out of an action flick!
Pure ass kicking, Liam Neeson style awesomeness.
Absolutely one of the best action/thriller movies of this year. Nuff said
Great movie, worth watching. :)
The problem which I got with this movie is, that you some scenes are really not necessary. There are soooo many long-breathed scenes in it, where I asked myself if the director and or writers had some problems to get to the length of a full movie.
They tried to do some twists in the movie, but I only got surprised one time really - so there they did a bad job with it. They tried it so much, that I got disappointed like "Srsly? Another "Uh you might be the terrorist - thing?" -.-
Since this is an airplane - movie I have to say that in "Flightplan" they did a far better job to "build up" tension and keeping it (or maybe it is just me because I like Jodie Foster really much).
It is not a waste of time watching it, but it also is not one of the best movies of 2014 till now. ...

The best scene in my opinion is the landing scene of the airplane, and that was worth watching it. Harrr :)
Great beginning and a bad ending. :/
It's this a movie with Liam Neeson kicking somebody's ass!? Shut up and take my money! Great production with Neeson and Julianne Moore showing off how to do an amazing action movie! Worth to see!
Few people in cinema. Very entertaining, excitement and intrigue does not decay. Well taken action. Liam Neeson does not disappoint
One of the best movies I have ever seen.
Amazing film ❤️❤️❤️
Intense, thrilling, Liam Neeson is always guarantee of amazing action!
This movie will keep you on the edge of the seat, not letting you take a breath, until the very end!
An action movie that, in its genre, excels.
Damn Liam Neeson, why are you such a mothafuckin' badass all of the time?
I knew that I wasn't going to see nothing extremely bright and believable but I wanted to have some fun and I really did! This is the kind of film that will leave you at the edge of your seat even knowing that most probably all of the usual clichès and happy ending will show up eventually.
I liked the way the film was shot, specially when the camera moves in 360 degrees, that was great! It helped to build even more the tension and wanted to give us the feeling of claustrophobia, theres no possible escape in a plane flight.
I love the fact that Julianne Moore, one of the best actresses in the business, always accepts different roles in all kind of films. I love to see her in everything she does and I think once again she proofs of her modesty as a person.
Now let's talk about the badass Liam Neeson and how good this kind of roles suit him. I confess that it is about time to see him do another kind of stuff again, but the truth is that I can't deny watching this action flicks that he is part of. I know that almost for sure he is the reason why I'll give my money to spent a good time at the theatre having some fun!
Overall, Non-Stop is definitely a good entertaining action flick, full of suspense and twists and turns. This kind of films are not supposed to be super clever, are supposed to provide you a great entertaining time and this one totally does it! I recommend it!

I really enjoyed it, but I'm also a sucker for these kind of movies. Since Taken, Neeson has become one of my favorite actors in the action genre, and he sure as hell didn't disappoint this time either :)
