Weak movie. Boring, without thought. Actually I have fallen asleep during the movie.
Characters are shallow, without development.
I saw it this evening in a special perview.
Great wiking movie, great story and lots of action.
Must see.
The film definitely does not have any historical accuracy but it is quite entertaining as an adventure movie. The team of Vikings together with the princess are a sort of Fellowship of the Ring, some scenes bring to mind the events from FotR so that it is fun to watch it for a Tolkien fan, we even get a brief underground journey and an escape to the bridge and a confrontation in the middle of the said bridge. The soldiers running after them play the role of the orcs here. There is lots of violence and fighting as well as running. It was quite funny when the princess suddenly turned out to be quite handy with a crossbow ;) The movie also has some beautiful scenery as well as atmospheric shots with fantasy feeling, I particularly liked the one when characters rest among the barrows ;) Overall, nothing special, do not expect any historical accuracy but rather a adventure flick with some resemblance to fantasy movies but without any actual magic, OK as easy entertainment but otherwise missable.
Really liket it! Thought it would be a cheap b-movie, but it was surprisingly good!
