I confess that the biggest reason why I've chosen this movie was its name , but seeing it, I've noticed that the title is a very poetic analogy that envolves relevant themes that made (and still make) part of the history and the Brazilian daily, such are related to rural exodus and the structural xenophobia in Brazil to the Northeast. The way of prejudice that the northeastern suffer in the movie is strong and goes straight to the point in the critic, the movie reports well how the stereotype looks to be more and more reinforced, and the protagonist discontent with the situation.
But The Man That Was Turned into Juice is not just about it, it also critics very well the capitalism, the devaluation of the culture and arts and the problems in accessing citizenship for poor people.
It's possible to say that the movie criticism is very current and it should be threatened with more relevance in Brazil.
