I really enjoyed this movie especially the actors, well done.
This is like a breath of fresh air from the tick all the boxes movies that are plopped out of the rear of the corporate machine today.
This film is another fine entry from director Lynn Shelton and a Duplass brother (Your Sister's Sister is another fine colaboration). The movie starts with the main character getting out of jail for a crime that we are not sure that he committed. Having been imprisoned for 20 years (since he was 18) he seems to be stuck at that maturity level. He soon becomes entangled with the family of the woman that played a key role in getting him out of prison. It's a slow-burning drama with a satisfying ending.

Reasonably effective character drama; thoughtful and a little sad.

Edie Falco is a goddamn national treasure. And RIP Lynn Shelton. That’s it; that’s the review.
