Panic Room 2002

I didn't even know Kristen Stewart did movies in 2002. Jodie Foster was great as was Kristen Stewart. I wish Jodie starred in more movies these days but now she usually directs movies. Panic Room was a thrilling movie. it's a good watch. I wish I had a panic room set up in my house like it was in that brownstone. The ending of Panic Room while satisfying was a little strange. what happened to the black guy? what about the money? still a solid watch though. I recommend it.

A very cool idea and solid performances by Jodie Foster and Forest Whitaker are ruined by some big holes in the plot. Unfortunately not very believable and therefore only a mediocre thriller.

"How do you live in New York and not have a single percocet?"

Ok, I have almost watched every Finch movie (sorry Mank, it will be a while before I consider watching you) and he always seems to captivate me with his shots, script and color grading. This is not your typical house invasion and Jodie Foster is portrayed so well in this.

I really enjoyed this movie when it first came out and it still holds up

A simple concept executed well. David Fincher makes this work and keeps you entertained the whole time. A lot of surprising twists. The way the camera moves throughout the house is amazing. It really gives us a feel for the house and makes us claustrophobic. The ending could of been a little better.

the cinematographic of the scenes are incredible, for the viewer creates the feeling of being trapped, even before they actually are. I also like the dramatic scene at the end where the money is flying in the end, all of this work and not there nothing. or even, it may be worth $20 million but now is just paper flying in a storm which I think is very poetic.

Panic Room may not be David Fincher's best film, but the movie does keep you interested from beginning till end.

Just seen this movie. Everything is great, except one point that I have huge problem with. In this type of claustrophobic movies, the reactions of every characters has to be perfectly plausible. Any illogical point in characters reaction will be immediatly seen by the viewer. Here, there is a HUGE error : Why the f**k the robbers don't break the cameras as soon as they arrive ? That would be the 1st idea that should come to their mind. And even after dozens of time Meg tricked them using the cameras, they STILL DON'T HAVE THE IDEA TO BREAK THEM ? They wait for her to do it when they are inside ? And worst of all, Raoul says "Why didn't we think of it ?" NO SHIT SHERLOCK ?

Great film. I don't know why everybody calls this dumb, it's actually pretty smart.
Also Jared Leto might just be a bad actor but part of me feels like he's deliberately overacting here, and honestly I can get behind it - it adds some goof to the first half.

Second time viewing this one. It’s solid all around so I’m not sure why I seem to struggle with staying engaged throughout.

I really like this film. I find it amusing, entertaining, thrillig and exciting. The music is perfect in every scene. The acting is simply great. I get there are some clichés but they don't bother me. And I just thought this film could have been a covid film, you know? One of those films with one locations and few people when we were locked down.

Was pretty good to watch..The cast was a well known cast too. Good idea.

I love the CGI transitions, very nice twisting plots

The film's excellent plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. Jodie Foster delivers a standout performance and Jared Leto also impresses in his role as one of the home invaders, bringing a menacing energy to the screen. The film's tight direction and effective use of its claustrophobic setting add to its overall sense of tension.

This film setting up some very good camera shots. Despite the very competent acting, the film's script is a tad underwhelming in parts. It was a fun movie, though with some logical lapses.

amazing movie loved every moment of it, I wish we had a safe room at home

Ignore it’s mistakes and there’s a great film here asking to be watched. I liked the acting, camerawork and the twists and turns of the story. Jodie kicks butt.

The lesson the movie delivered was that life is a disgrace. Any person who thinks Kristen Stewart is a terrible actress should see this movie!

From director David Fincher comes the intense dramatic thriller Panic Room. The story follows a mother and daughter who lock themselves into a panic room when three burglars break into their new home. The cast is quite impressive and features strong performance from Jodie Foster, Kristen Stewart, Forest Whitaker, and Jared Leto. Additionally, the script does a good job at thinking through the standoff with the burglars and at making it suspenseful. Fincher's directing however, is overdone and tries too hard to be mysterious and dramatic. Panic Room isn't as big and compelling as it wants to be, but it's well-crafted and entertaining.

“I wish I could put my kid in a place like this. Not that I didn't try. Just sometimes things they don't work out the way you want them to. Wasn't supposed to be like this. You weren't supposed to be here.”

Panic room, check! Once again I have watched David Fincher's work and I must say that I still like the film very much. It manages to create an extreme atmosphere in the smallest of spaces. The actors are superbly chosen, most notably Forest Whitaker as a rather involuntary criminal with a heart, Jodie Foster as a protector who overcomes her own fears and a very young Kristen Stewart who fits like a fist in the eye of rebellious youth.

I was going to put 10 starts put the black guy didn’t get any money and that is shit , like he looked like he was going to fuck off and have a good life , but the film is like “ fuck you , this guy is going to prison , we know he was good but he Fuck it “ oh my god I would love and end where he and the kid and the mother bough a better house and everyone is happy , but instead they make you see the guy sad as fuck seeing the money go trough the air and he knowing no one can take care of his children . :sob:

How the hell can not so worthless film getting 70%? Nothing unexpected happened, and the whole story was so bad and boring. That she had diabetes was just too much ..

Simple idea executed perfectly. Fincher's cinematography and proper usage of CGI make every moment of film entertaining. One of the best psychological thrillers I've ever watched.

Disappointing movie tbh. Expected a more intelligent storyline and ending. I enjoyed the acting and give it 2.5/5 stars.
