“My Disappointment Is Immeasurable and My Day Is Ruined.” Yeah, I’m going to use a meme to describe the film, since that’s what it is. In any case, what the hell. In my opinion, this is one of the most pointless films ever made. This doesn’t work either as a continuation or as a standalone film. It’s a massive slap in the face to the people who have supported the series throughout the years. The other films weren’t exactly masterpieces, but they all kind of worked; I’m disappointed to see that this one is just a blatant cash grab. To top it all off, it’s the least frightening of the bunch. If you plan on seeing this, prepare to be disappointed.

A few plot holes and it feels like they didn’t know how to end the movie. It wasn’t that bad tho.
Lazy and uninspired, Paranormal Activity 4 is a pale imitation of what the series once was. In this chapter a strange young boy goes to live with the next door neighbors when his mother has an accident; but it’s soon suspected that the boy has brought an evil presence with him. The found footage conceit doesn’t work at all this time, and the film makes no attempt at an explanation as to why the characters are constantly carrying around a camera. On top of that, the story is completely idiotic and senseless. Without any realism or scares, Paranormal Activity 4 is a flat, insipid piece of tripe that’s insulting to the fans.
a few really good scenes. Keeps you alert from the beginning and even if you know what to expect, it will caught you by surprise. makes you jumpy..!
The first few minutes in Carlsbad which provided the backstory? Pretty okay actually. The next 30 to 40 minutes in Nevada? Mind-numbingly dull. Maybe skype and webcams are scary to some people? The ending? Oh, was that an ending? LOL okay.
Also, you can't make a kid creepy simply by having someone "say" he's creepy. Show don't tell - that's what made the first one so great. It did nothing BUT show.
Speaking of creepy kid, does he never go home?
And why is teenage daughter so obsessed over creepy kid and asking her brother questions all the time? Oh yeah, she's a plot device.
I didn't care when everyone died. Maybe the franchise can die now because they've killed it.
Somebody fix the synopsis. Robbie is not Hunter...

So the first film in the franchise to be
an actual sequel
(the other two sequels
or prequels). This is my least
favourite so far all though number 7
makes this one look like a
God damn Masterpiece.
we have a very likable
Mom and Dad again that are
actually married in real life
Well before Stephen's untimely
death of a heart attack just before
this movies theatrical release.
it's hard to say this installment isn't
a step backwards, as I praised
the third installment for
taking care of all the problems
that stopped this franchise from
being great this 4th installment
includes all the problems and more
that holds this franchise back to
the point of just being plain
boring, that's a shame this time
round because this installment could
have been an absolute Banger
with everything learned from the
past trilogy and where we are
in the story but alas it just
dragged on and on and on
with nothing happening to keep
one engaged.
The story is weak the lightning
and visibility is horrendous
and really we are talking
95 percent of nothing
and 5 percent of content
and this late in the game that's
just not acceptable.
I want more I expect more,
it's not the worst in the franchise
that would be
PA-Next Of Kin.
Verdict: I wanted to
love this one so much
but sadly I just grind through
but it is what it is,
right on to the
5th installment
as I continue my 31 days of Horror.
I loved the trilogy ( 1st one is a horror masterpiece ) and because of that I won´t even see this one...
Okay, it wasn't that bad. But they really need to come up with some new scares. The blanket pulling and opening doors got old in part two.
