The color of illusion is Perfect Blue.
Mima Kirigoe is a singer who leaves her trio to become an actress, a career move that angers her fans, who prefer to see her as the pop idol. Plagued by self-doubt and tormented by humiliating compromises, she begins to be stalked, in her waking and sleeping moments, by an alter ego who claims to be "the real Mima", until she collapses into madness as her coworkers are brutally slain around her.

Just seen this on All Hallows' Eve. Old but gold! Definitely have to rewatch this, because you just got to pay attention to 'know' what is happening and follow the story. But every time you think you got it all figured out, you learn something new and turn out to be all wrong.

I loved all those plottwists and the is-it-real-or-not feeling like, is it really REALLY happening? Is it really acting for her job as a actress, or is it all just a trick of the mind...

Absolute masterpiece of dark twisted oniric dementia that was rareley reach after that. A brillant and brutal introduction to the world of the animation genius late Satochi Kon. An absolute must see.
