Rather predictable and somewhat boring, Project S is by no means comparable to Police Story 3. The stunts and action are good enough, and Michelle Yeoh is good as usual, so there is some enjoyment to be had, but the story is straight up bad. Unless you are a hardcore Hong Kong movie fan, I wouldn't go searching for this one.

Like many Jackie Chan movies in the 80s and 90s, the American marketing was misleading. I remember renting this VHS thinking it starred Jackie Chan and had no idea that this movie (or Supercop) was part of the Police Story franchise. In 2021, this is an obscure movie to find.
I'm sure it's partially nostalgia, but I did enjoy it. Michelle Yeoh is great. Not essential viewing by any means, even if you're watching through the Poice Story movies. But there are some good action sequences, and the ending was emotional, even if predictable.
The Jackie Chan scene is really out of place. A skit where the only punchline is cross-dressing. In a movie that doesn't have much humor otherwise.
