It wasn't quite the blaxploitation throwback I was hoping for, and it suffers from some stale dialog and family drama. But Taraji is a complete badass and delivers some dope action scenes. She deserves better; with this she proves she can be an action star.

This was a beautiful movie regardless of all that is said.
It showcases the reality of many young persons growing up with communities with drugs and violence. It has some hilarious lines and some emotional moments. The action is good.
A female 'Rambo". Go get'em girl.
one word: well done guys, Maserati ghibli did the job... just so insane how much the car is shown during the movie and camera focus on brand logo...
beside this, this is just a poor (shitty) movie...
The best thing about this movie is the trailer.. oh, and the Maserati - the real star of this 88 minutes long modern mob inspired commercial.
At first I was getting a Shaft type of vibe from the movie, which I actually enjoy those movies. This movie was not terrible but it wasn't great either. These actors are too good to not be showcasing their talents. T.P.H was funny on some parts but I feel like the story lacked, we could have had more back ground on why Walter didn't like the original guy they basically killed off Walter for no reason I was expecting him to be the villain in the end. Glover wasn't bad ass at all. This movie almost vilifies T.P.H. Because shes the only one out here going on a murder-spree all for a kid whose father she killed in the first place.
Not the badass movie it could have been; a pity, as you can see the potential when the movie finally kicks into gear towards the end.
I thought it was very entertaining and enjoyable. Well worth a watch.
So.... this is in some sort of universe where there isn't a single cop around to intervene in the random shootings that pretty much make the whole plot. seriously, was waiting for some deep plot that would make taraji justice but this was borderline lame.

Bad Bad Movie.. First off Glover's Role wasn't convincing Nor was Taraji P Henson in her role.. I absolutely hated the pace and Badly Written.. The Plot was decent but didn't have no back story... overall I rated it 1/5..not good at all
