An aspiring filmmaker in search of the perfect groan, a girl who discovers a videotape in the guts of a wild boar, a man dressed as a rat with mental eczema, and a school principal who dreams of dressing as an old lady while driving a military jeep.
Quentin, you truly know how to tickle me where I like it. This film bears a strong resemblance to Lynch's "Inland Empire," yet with decidedly more playful and satiric intentions. The stories intertwine and overlap between dream and reality, mocking both engaged and disengaged cinema.
The only drawback lies in the somewhat flat cinematography, a common issue found in Dupieux's films.
That was so strange and I totally loved it. That's 4 films by this director I've watched now, and this was the best. They're all great though!
Chabat n'est jamais aussi vrai que quand il est dans une réalité absurde. La seule vraie Réalité est celle que s'autorisent les enfants...

Another fun movie from Quentin Dupieux. He did an awesome job at interweaving all the story threads.
