Revolver 2005

I don't get that feeling often, but this one I actually wish I had never seen. Pretentious and boring.

Guy Ritchie gets into some next level shit in Revolver, a high concept thriller that explores the psyche and the nature of identity. The story follows a recently released convict named Jake Green who turns to two nefarious criminals when they offer him a deal that will save his life. The film has a great cast that includes Jason Statham, Ray Liotta, and Mark Strong, and their performances are quite good. However, the storytelling fails, to the point of becoming a jumbled mess. There are several critical twists and reveals that don't work, or are at least done so poorly as to confuse the plot. A noble failure, Revolver aims high and tries to be philosophical and cerebral, but it doesn't work in execution.

If you got a total stoner to watch Fight Club, Leon, Crank and some random gangster films, waited a day and then got them REALLY wasted and asked them to explain the plots, took notes and made a film - you might get this.

Just wish I've never watched it. Pretentious and doesn't make no sense at all.

You'd have a better time watching Fight Club and playing Payday

Nothing is worse than watching a boring, unauthentic movie; this movie is very odd and has huge flaws. It still is very enjoyable to me, as most of Guy Ritchie’s movies are.
