Half serious thriller and half road movie. I wouldnt take it too serious. Some very good suspenseful moments. A little slow here and there but it always picks up. Dialogue is quite Tarrantino at times.

Shocked to see Jamie Lee Curtis credited in an Australian horror/thriller, this one jumped to the top of my watch list purely for how strange of a casting that is in hindsight. Hitchcockian with quotable, oddball dialogue, Roadgames is a somewhat whimsical suspense thriller that's almost dreamlike in its execution. Strange turns of phrase and fantastical plot details make this grisly premise almost comedic in execution. Definitely unique and one I won't forget for a while, I can see how Roadgames has retained its bubbling cult following until today.

Jesus Christ, are we there yet?

Like a young Tiger Woods, this was really really below par.

An 80s horror movie that's even worse than normal 80s horror because there's no horror. It's just the story of Stacey Keach driving around with Jamie Lee Curtis following an underachieving serial killer. If you want real highway horror, nothing beats the original Hitcher.

Starts off rather well, with some visually interesting scenes and some quite witty dialogue.
The Hitchcock influence is very apparent, since it's like a version of "Rear Window" but on the road.
Unfortunately, the story completely falls apart in the 3rd act where Jamie Lee Curtis goes unutilized. What a shame.

Dark chase thriller heavy on the dialogue and open road. It's a slow build that teases the idea of a serial killer on the same path as Quid (Stacey Keach) driving across the Australian outback causing havoc as the miles add up.

A bit of imagination and characters along the way add up to a story that only slightly warrants sitting through. Good suspense and mystery.

With heavy Hitchcock & Mad Max influences this is a fun dark comedy, psychological Joy ride.
