I feel like one of the main things this is about is porn & sex addiction. So much running away from the possibility of love through his addiction that the only thing he can fall in love with is a phoenix bird that fell from the sky - a fantasy. Something that eventually must return to its own world, simply a rite of passage for Ye and not much else.
The outro of the title track over the top of tip-toeing ballerinas is so special, and I think is a perfect representation of how mania, which is what I think the song is about above anything else, holds much beauty even with all its violent danger.
I used to think it was just awesome imagery to go with the sonics but honestly this is definitely its own FILM, and feels like either an acceptance of dying alone or a sobbing fear of dying alone.
