Many reviews will claim that the movie is surprising and unpredictable. Not exactly. I suppose it's unpredictable only if you've only read/seen one particular genre your entire life. It drops enough hints for you to "get it" i.e the surprise element. If not, you'll do a forehead smack at the end and realize what you did miss. Other than that "surprise" the rest are pretty common tropes. Well done tropes but common all the same. It's worth watching if you want a romance but don't expect anything more than that.
IMHO, this movie is about 20 minutes longer than it needs to be, and becomes long and slow in the middle. But that ending is worth waiting for.

The storytelling’s quite good, especially in how it unravels the mystery and merges the plot threads. Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel lead the cast and have great chemistry together. The plot is fairly predictable, but it doesn’t feel forced, and has a few interesting twists and reveals that keeps it engaging. Safe Haven is a compelling drama that delivers a charming and romantic story.
I think this is predictable. There are surprising elements (good twists I must say) but everybody knows how this will end. Besides, I didn't connect with Julianne Hough's acting. Watchable movie for sure but nothing else.

Great and suspenseful movie. Watch both this one and Sleeping with the Enemy (with Julia Roberts). Very similar movies, and both totally worth watching. Everyone I know who has seen both movies agree : )
Good movie worths a watch for sure..I liked the plot a lot and directing was ok..Although i didn't like Julliane's perfomance at all.The end was powerfull.6.9/10 you are not going to be bored by watching this!
Good movie but more of the same. I mean, just another predictable cliché story. As soon as I started to see that the neighbour woman only interacted with Katie and gave her a bunch of personal advises I realized she was an imaginary person or just Katie's subsconscious. From that it wasn't hard to predict she was the mother who died with cancer.
Julianne Hough's acting wasn't nothing special too. I think her beautiful face "saved the day"...
Inside its gender it is a good movie to watch with family...
