More visually incoherent than surreal for me. Some nice use of colour but no feeling of suspense or anything. Just some exploitation shocks now and then. Didn't like the use of music somrtimes. Characters were nothing special underneath the visual layer. Plot was basic and more comic book style than surreal. Like an arty farty Kill Bill. It tells the story very slowly.
