Senna 2010

Very good :) Recommended even if you're not a fan of F1 or racing in general.

An excellent documentary about the man, the racing driver, and his career. A very well made film, with a lot of footage most haven't seen before, and interviews with people around Senna.

I think even people that has no interest in racing will find this documentary intriguing. The story of this man's short life is exciting in so many ways...

Highly recommended viewing!!!

The clever thing about this movie is that there is not one single piece of new footage used, other than the interviews. With F1 being such a media driven sport they were able to create a coherent narrative by simple using the sports and news footage from the time. At almost two hours in length it just flies by, and the ending packs an emotional punch.

Even if you are not a fan of F1 - I'm not - watch this film! It is a breathtaking testament to Senna the celebrity, and Senna the man...

[when asked how he feels about being a champion] It's not a bad feeling at all, is it?

For a Formula One fan, this is the holy grail of all Formula One documentaries.

But for someone outside the Formula One sphere, this is such a well constructed documentary that the viewer may swear that almost everything that took place was scripted. As an F1 fan though it was a tiny bit of a let down at how Alain Prost was represented through the bulk of the film. Sure they were at each others necks through their time at McLaren and then once Prost moved to Ferrari, but after that they actually became close. Other than that, everything about this film was done perfectly.

It would be great to see this crew including director Asif Kapadia and producer Manish Pandey try their hand at some other legendary drivers from that era.

Exceptional documentary about one of the best drivers ever.

Seeing the pictures of those tragic events in 1994 again brought back so much of what I felt and experienced when it actually happened. That´s how emotional this piece of film is.

If you don't know what's going on, it's about money. Money rules the world, espacially in such advanced sport.

Senna, a documentary of the world famous Formula One racer of the same name. What I love about this movie, is that there's so much footage, it's able to play off as a drama unfolding before your eyes, rather than a documentary of something that happened in the past. Even the interviews are just audio clips laid over top of what you're already watching, rather than cutting the shots back and forth, and affecting the pacing.

Freaking see it!

Não vejo esse carisma todo que falam do Senna, pelo contrario. Acho chato pra caralho! Comia a Xuxa... Quem come a Xuxa já tem atestado de otário.
Piquet era despirocado, xingava, era babaca... Ou seja, verdadeiro herói da nação.

I remember first getting into F1 aged 15 or 16 and watching a lot of the races from 1990-1993. I loved the nostalgia from seeing those wide over-powered cars again and the insight into the relationships betweem the drivers, especially the drivers briefings. I was amazed how much I didn't remember or probably didn't ever know about the politics of the sport and the acrimony between the drivers. It's compelling stuff and I thoroughly recommend it.
