incredibly boring and way too slow
They forgot to write characters.
I am more interested in what will happen after the ending than anything happening in the movie itself.
In a word No. Extremely depressing. From one bad event to another. Movies should be up and down this is just down all the way.
On a good note, Brooklyn Prince, great actine. One to watch in future.
If you are short on patience, you may want to skip this. If you can bear with a slow, methodical pace and a very bleak, small scale story, there is something here for you. Presented in a triptych of time periods, you will feel the oppression of isolation that bears down on our characters. There's rarely a respite from the heaviness of it all, so be ready to experience a gauntlet of loneliness. There may be some hope at the end, but it could also be seen as a desperate, stubborn end.
Holy crap, I can't think of enough ways to describe how absolutely horrible this movie was.

Very interesting insight of future human behavior into human psych with a twist ending (in the last scene).
Slow in the start, but jumps very fast into its main motive.
People will be people! (as it goes with popular ant saying)
Highly recommended for those who want a change in their life.
Poignant story of sci-fi/drama (it's definitely not a thriller), though in hindsight maybe they should have focused even more on Remy's POV so that the story they were going for would seem more cohesive. I can understand why they did it like this but it's been done so many times that it didn't add much to the ol' "the enemy is us", so the heavy lifting is mostly left to the acting - and they do it the best they can, though the finished product isn't good enough to be memorable... Final thought: this makes True Grit seem like a happy family film. :laughing:
Such an intriguing premise, such a horrible waste of time. It should have been easy to make this a good film, unfortunately they didn't. Guess they didn't waste any money on research, this was supposed to be set on Mars right?

Good actors, beautiful image but the story are totally underexploited.

I'm extremely tired of dystopian/bleak movies where the entire plot is based on rape or the threat of rape. This movie started out with a promising premise but then just left me feeling sick for the rest of the film as I continued to watch hoping there was a point to it all. Spoiler alert: there was not.
This movie perpetuates the dangerous idea that rape is the natural and default mode for men while not saying anything else of consequence. Definitely skip this one.
That robot came in clutch but who was driving it? Who’s hand was that?
A family of martian settlers do ... well nothing ... This two hour movie could be done in 10 minutes. No real story to it. Id rather spend more time sorting out my cutlery drawer.
