Sex Tape is another comedy that does not bring anything new. I can't deny that it made me laugh and I spent a good time, but it was nothing more than that. Unfortunately, there's more bad things to say about it than the good ones.
Here we follow the story of the couple Annie and Jay, who fell into the routine of married life. Bored of the life they have they decide to spice things up by doing a 3 hour sex tape on an iPad. The video accidentally is shared into the internet among friends and family. The two must recover it quickly before their reputations are ruined forever.
This story was supposed to be much more imaginative and well developed through possible different situations and but the truth is that nothing special happens. The plot has a lot of problems and the worst of all is the excessive publicity to Apple, making the iPad's almost the main character of the story and not the real involved. This turns out to be very annoying.
Jason Segel was the one who made me laugh more, despite being used to see him in this kind of roles, he still not always bores me. He is funny, but some of his scenes were a bit ridiculous, since fights with dogs that open doors to strange property burglaries. Cameron Diaz is not an actress that I especially like, well can't really explain why, she is just indifferent to me. Maybe because she almost always does the same kind of roles.
In the end, what we take from Sex Tape is that the iPad is "the coolest thing in the world" and nothing else. For the premise that this comedy has it could have been much more fun and natural and it should have given more importance to the history, not to the promotion of a brand.
It made me laugh...so it did something right. Might be a higher rating if it hadn't been for the fact that it's an R-rated Apple commercial...
None of the tech logic made sense, every single thing was wrong and all of it could’ve been immediately avoided. None of the jokes landed and the arc in the relationship wasn’t convincing as well.

Horrendously awful, Sex Tape is a juvenile piece of trash. When a young married couple tries to spice up their sex life by making a sex tape with their iPad, it accidentally gets uploaded to all their friends. Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel give terrible performances, and their comic delivery is almost painful to watch. Plus, the humor is incredibly sophomoric and obvious. Despite its salacious title, Sex Tape is just a silly, low-brow comedy full of lame jokes.

This is simply terrible. I didn't laugh at all, which is saying something coming from a guy who enjoys films like 'Kangaroo Jack', 'Thunderpants' and 'Little Man'. 'Sex Tape' is just so lifeless, no good performances across the board.
Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel are notable actors, both can be a bit hit-and-miss but are generally quite solid. This is certainly a low point for those two, as well as for the others involved. The only plus is the cameo from Jack Black, which is mildly amusing.
Safe to say, I would not recommend this. You could probably make a somewhat good production about a sex tape, but I don't get the impression that this lot put much thought into it at all.
It was cute. Funny. Silly. More than I expected which is always a good thing.
A five minute sex tape would have been more enjoyable!

Jason Segel did his same role as Marshall in HIMYM in this movie, but in those episodes where he wasn't funny. Really disappointed to watch this.

Big disappointment. The funny parts are the ones present in the trailer...
A genuinely terrible movie. A wafer thin plot supported by a cast that doesn't get out of first gear.
I literally only laughed once, and that was thanks to a very small cameo by the always hilarious (just looking at his face cracks me up) Kumail Nanjiani. He's a very funny man who deserves his own lead in a movie or two.
Diaz and Segal are cringeworthy to the extreme. Nowadays, it seems that script writers and actors think that the more a character can swear, the "edgier" and funnier they are. This movie proved that premise patently false. Also, seeing two forty-somethings going so hard "at it" is cringe inducing - and I'm a forty-something myself.
Cameron Diaz's face looks like someone left an apple in the sun for a week too long. Her arse is still quite fine though.
In addition to the terrible plot, terrible premise and terrible acting, the entire 90 minutes is essentially a thinly disguised advertisement for Apple. So much blatant product placement and frothy product endorsement. I'm wondering if the Apple execs are regretting their decision given how much of a steaming turd the movie is...
Please, don't watch this. Phone your parents and chat to them for an hour. Take your dog for a walk. Go fishing. Drink alcohol until you can't feel feelings. Curl up in the fetal position and cry for an hour and a half. All are preferable to sitting through this. Do whatever it takes to avoid this disaster.

Could have been a reasonable comedy if the writers could have been bothered to put any originality into the story. Instead they went for an extremely boring story line and in the end it just goes into the ridiculous and opts to go with something that has nothing to do with reality. ( let's destroy one specific server to get our sex tape off the Internet)
The only chuckle worthy moment in the movie is when Annie and Jay go to her new boss' house. Something which is touched upon at the beginning of the movie but has no role in the rest of he movie.
Anyway, if you want to get rid of 90 minutes of your life and spend it watching a movie that is not funny in the least while you could be doing something that you would enjoy, then this movie is for you!

I was excepting less after reading some (prof) reviews, but found it very funny and relaxing movie. I've had a few moments of good laugh.
