There is no way this movie gets made today, but I am glad it did get made. because there is an actual good message here. Jack Black is actually a very likeable character and the ending makes the rest of it better. Also, I never realized this was a Farrelly brothers film, but that defintely makes sense.
It has its moments but they are short and far between.
I mean, it's not perfect or oscar-worthy but it's definitely entertaining and cute to watch.

A rare romantic comedy about being shallow and inner-beauty. With some touching moments.
Funny but the movie is shallow itself as it's got the idea that beautiful people are shallow inside and ugly people are beautiful. Unfortunately it's not like that in real life. It's also got the bad idea that if you are ugly you should only date ugly people.
Plus Rosemary isn't fat. She's OBESE. This movie promotes the idea of not caring for your health and just eating whatever you want.
Funny and with an (for comedies) exceptionally good plot: Hal only sees the exterior of women until he meets self-help guru Tony. After this meetings Hal can only see the inner beauty of people and he falls in love with the 300 pound heavy Rosemary.

One of the funniest movies I have watched with a good message to see what's on the inside of people rather than the outside.
