A very neat and proper horror movie.
First Thai movie I've seen and it was brilliant.
Good story. though the idea behind everything was spooky enough, I think it was lost in translation onto the screen. or maybe I've just seen the jump-scare-tactics done one too many times...
Good movie. I’ve watched the American remake too. But I don’t think it’s worth watching in 2024…
Great story gets better every minute and it's very creepy a unique horror movie.Reccomend this to all the fans of horror films 7.9/10
Shutter has neat little story which slowly unwraps itself. We follow Tun and Jane as they are driving home from a party. While they are driving they hit a girl. They crash and Tun convinces Jane to drive away. They find out that there was never a an accident reported when they see people repairing the billboard they have crashed into. Tun likes to make photos and he begins to find out that there is a spirit in his photos. From there we discover who the spirit is and why it is here.
The jump scares look nice but didn't have any effect on me, which was a shame because I really wanted to watch some scary stuff. There is also a ring inspired scene in which a dark haired girl crawls out of a sink instead of the telly. Anyway, The idea is great but for me the scary atmosphere, the unsettling feeling some "ghost inspired" films usually give me, wasn't there. However I did like the story.
So in the end, I liked Shutter.
