Skinford Death Curse isn't high art, but it's high and that's all an indie action / horror film need be, especially if it's short on budget.
A young, distractingly handsome criminal wannabe looking to make some extra cash to save his terminally ill dad suddenly finds himself immortal, but only in the presence of a mysterious brunette who knows more than she's saying.
Everything about Skinford screams an instanty tinged yes. The little girl bad guy, the white slavery fanny pack, the truck car chase, the doctor healing himself... The story has twists and turns that all respect the logic of the universe it's created while at the same time is so over the top it keeps banging its head on heaven.
Skinford isn't a perfect film, but its shortcomings come from biting off more than it can chew, and that's the kind of fault that can't be faulted in film.
