As with the recent Kin, this is a mix of social commentary and science fiction. It's not a bad film, but it is rather imbalanced. Those looking for the sci-fi elements might feel short-changed, as they happen during the last half hour of the film, and too quickly at that. A sequel would be welcome, however, as there is scope for something more.
I thought this was a very well written and well acted movie. A nice change from the regular over blown superhero movie.

Pretty enjoyable low budget flick I waited years before finally watching. Ending felt rushed; however. Good performance by Latimore. 6.5
I had no idea what to expect from this movie. I just took a chance. I didn't know what genre it was. After watching this movie and reading the genre here, there should of been more sci-fi power character than there was, instead of waiting until the end.

Interesting and well-made movie that, by the third act turns into something special. Not having read anything about it and merely selecting the movie based on a review by Chris Stuckman the whole movie seemed to be a coming of age tale about a boy trying to get on in his life but at the end you they pulled an "Unbreakable" setting up some kind of superhero'esque sequel. I would very much have loved this to be part of the Unbreakable/Split/Glass universe as it bathes in the same waters.
Were the drug dealers playing ps4 version of Touhou?!
I thought it was a good movie. Good defeats evil, with a dash of fantasy and love. I know there is a sequel coming ...hopefully

What a flop. I expected a lot more from this but unfortunately it fell flat with a bland story-line that felt incredibly rushed and had no point to it. The secret behind his magical powers are exposed half way through the movie and they try to explain it with "engineering" but it ends up feeling incredibly stupid. I would've preferred a "Now You See Me" style twist with literal magic over this seudo-science crap. The only good takeway from this was Seychelle Gabriel's hotness.
