Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring
This South Korean film takes place on an isolated lake, where an old monk lives in a small floating temple. The monk has a young boy living with him, learning to become a monk. We watch as seasons and years pass by.

Many of my female friends love korean movie but none of them even know this movie, typical nowaday korean movies are filled with plastic surgeon's patient, comedy or romantic drama, but this movie is different, at the beginning the plot and story is rather vague but only at halfway through that the idea of this movie is starting to vividly appear, what makes this movie incredible is not from the acting but from the atmosphere of the movie, the spiritual sense and air, the idea how cycle begins and ends, the concept of karma itself, the devotion of life, not too many words uttered troughout the movies but the limited dialogue does not make it less enjoyable but rather makes it more cryptic and demands more deep attention and understanding. one of my alltime favorite movie scene is from the last part of the movie, the scene of the cloth masked woman with the baby. great movie!!
