I liked it, good group of cast and deep and loved the way it ended.
A group of young people and their problems.
Nary a likeable character amongst the bunch. Just a pack of awful, petty jerks constantly making destructive decisions.
The best part of the whole movie was the soundtrack.
It’s just a really boring film…. friends ruining their relationship with each other by drugs, sex, lies… it has almost no redemption or a real ending… bleh!
A nice Sunday afternoon movie (the musical score is SO Sunday afternoon sniff) but if it weren't for the cast (the infamous Brat Pack) I think it would have been forgotten.
It's a soap opera with fresh-out-of-college kids, that isn't quite as effective as the Hughes films of the same era. While the cast is good and share a real chemistry, and there are some real standout exchanges, ultimately these characters are all unlikeable and kill any chance of a connection. You don't care what happens to any of them when they're all soo horrid and self-centered.

The song is much better than the movie.
