They don't make 'em like they used to.
After serving 28 years in prison for accidentally killing the son of a crime boss, newly paroled gangster Val (Al Pacino) reunites with his former partners in crime, Doc (Christopher Walken) and Hirsch (Alan Arkin), for a night on the town. As the three men revisit old haunts, reflect on their glory days and try to make up for lost time, one wrestles with a terrible quandary: Doc has orders to kill Val, and time is running out for him to figure out a way out of his dilemma.

The best part about this film, was the relationship between Walken and Pacino. It felt natural, and something that I was glad to see. Unfortunately, because of the great dynamic between Walken and Pacino, the rest of the cast falls a little short. Everyone else in the movie feels awkward and clumsy, and I personally couldn't connect with any of the other characters.
Hirsch was the most obvious example for me, I mean the character is on the poster art. Hirsch definitely had a role in the movie; my favorite being at the brothel. I didn't feel the same connection I did with Val and Doc, and so when Hirsh died, it fell flat.

With that minor flaw, it is a hilarious movie that I've re-watched a few times and would recommend. 7/10

When I see the other comments, I can't help wondering if that's the same movie I just watched. I found it awesome ! So much emotions in it. I guess it could be nostalgia (Al Pacino & Christopher Walken) but, still... good movie.
