Going into this with zero context, was certainly a far more enjoyable experience I could have expected.
While some of the jokes may feel well-trodden by now, this send-up of the slasher genre was overall a delight to watch. Dumb side jokes, an over-the-top and ludicrous plot, bizarre performance deliveries, and meta-commentary on the American movie rating system really help deliver this as a time-capsule of the slasher craze of the period.
Full of nonstop jokes and weird scenes. Completely thin on the story is the problem, it's just one physical joke after another. Could've been a lot better as a short, it tends to drag.
"I can never stop thinking about sex, funerals get me hot!"
Usually parodies make me laugh... Student Bodies did not. No need to say anything more.
parody of slashers from the 80s made in the 80s. The idea is good, yes, but it is the only good thing, everything else, bad
Good spoof that seems like it influenced Scary Movie. Maybe even Scream.
The humour isn't laugh out loud but if you're into ridiculous comedy you should be watching with a smirk or at least with an appreciation. It could have sometimes had better characterisation for a spoof, even if that meant more cliché, quirks and stupidity, with a straight character to enhance the surrealism. Scenes are sometimes also too long for there purpose and this slows down the movie. The dialogue is gag orientated with no character development, which hurts in the long run. I also wanted more creative scenes ideas (even for a spoff) and interesting plot (I know it's a spoof). This is where Scary Movie capitalised by seeing the mistakes in this movie and avoiding them. Does it have anything Scary Movie doesn't? Well it's the first of its kind. Having pointing out all the faults they are at least faults of slashers themselves. It's too rigid to the slasher formula which happens to be pretty awful.
It's like the movie was written by a gag writer who does an amazing job yet doesn't think enough about the story or structure and neither the audience. I wish it was co-written. It could have been awesome.
Full of ridiculous gags and some smart ones in the vein of The Simpsons at its best. It's got Malvert in it! Malvert takes it up a rating point.

Easily one of the most entertaining horror parody I've ever seen. It's what Scary Movie and other crap parodies wish they could be. It's clever in parts, so fucking stupid in others, but it's impressive how it consistently make me laugh. It has a lot of fun spoofing slasher films and every trope you could ever imagine. The strange characters and goofy dialogue makes the whodunnit mystery works well, because they're all so dumb I can't imagine them even having thoughts of killing people. Even though it's rated R, the gore is basically nonexistent, but everything else work so damn well and I had a great time watching it.
