Don't go into this expecting something conventional - it is a Wim Wenders film, after all. It is worth a watch though, even if the narrative is sometimes fractured when playing host to the movie's themes.
Unconvincing. The romance is unconvincing and poorly written, the science and politics are unconvincing, uncomprehensible and uninteresting, the danger is unconvincing and uninvested, the premise (with it's obvious symbols and allusions) is unengaging and pretentious - all this is the fault of the production. Such a waste of two great actors. This was a great disappointment which I place at the feet of Wim Wenders. I give this movie a 3 (unconvincing and boring) out of 10. It fails in every genre. I saw an advanced screening of this during San Sebastián Film Festival. Boring, pretentious, annoying characters... Which is a shame because I really like Vikander and Mcavoy.

Never have I ever wanted a couple to reunite as much as I did this one. Damn. James and Alicia had wonderful chemistry. The movie in general? I didn’t care for it. Felt like the sum of three different and unrelated movies put together.
