This is what happens when you make an idea alone do the heavy lifting.

An amateur Arabic screenwriter working on a Palestinian soap opera involving the Israeli army maybe should've written this movie rather than be the hero of it, because this brilliant idea became a rolling hill of WTF on the screen.

None of the great plot lines were fully explored or taken to their extremes and all that's left is the rampant impression the filmmaker just stood around saying, "Wouldn't it be cool if..."

He can teach her to shoot. That's romantic.
