The film feels unfinished, which is unfortunate, as there was potential for a better story. It's not awful, some of the production values are good, but it does nothing to stand out. Disappointing.
Too short and terribly boring. Some scenes were shot in almost complete darkness and I couldn't see shit...
What? What was that ending, where is the rest of the movie?...
Not that bad tho, but it feels unfinished...
despite good potential and not that bad start it's just a huge wast of time ...

This was bad! A total snooze fest with terrible acting and a shitty story that lacks any logic. If this didn't actually have Japanese producers behind I would even call it offensive... As pointed out in my previous comment on here: Barrett based his screenplay on a story of J.T. Petty but never got the full payment (back then) nor heard anything about it's further development. The credits now show three of the producers with the "Story by" and also Eiji Otsuka as an adviser who apparently was also supposed to write a book with a chapter about this Temple which then would then get adapted by Toei Animation. J.T. Petty is a "special thanks" btw.. Not really surprised this turned out as it did.
Not a bad little horror film. Even with an overdone plot about tourists going where they shouldn't, it serves as a decent ghost story and considering it's length, not a complete waste of time.
waste 78 minutes of your life by watching this.

what a waste of time. none of the storylines were ever truly wrapped up. the movie ended with me being left confused and disappointed. it's unfortunate because it could have had some great potential.
