One of the best dog movies I've ever seen. The focus is on the humans and their interactions, but the dog feels like a human himself. Enzo's a fantastic character to watch the lives of the others through. I have a few minor quibbles: the last scene was unnecessary, the grandfather was a bit unrealistic in his villainy, and the zebra stuff was meh. But otherwise, great film overall. 4/5.

I loved this movie. The dog was saying what he felt.... just as I imagine my dogs inner voice of love for me. Losing 3 of my dogs this year, this movie was hard for me to watch. I cried... and then cried some more.... it was sad and beautiful. Milo Ventimiglia is a good actor.... he did a great job portraying what every dog owner feels. Kevin Costner was a great voice. I loved the movie and highly recommend it. But first get the tissues and your furry children and hold them close as you watch.

That was a lovely film with lots of heart along with emotions and with a dog with lots of knowledge that really didn’t make sense but was funny and also good cast.

It's rarefied air when you come across a movie that deals with the lifetime of joy and companionship a dog provides.

I cried less than Marley & Me but I think this is a sweeter film. The voicing is fantastic.

What a sweet and delightful yet ultimately heartbreaking film.

Well worth your time.

Seriously... the grandfather was a jerk. Rich people problem?

I'll start by saying that I haven't read the book yet, so I can't speak to the accuracy or portrayal on that end. What I can say is that Milo made this movie. It's all from the point of view of the dog so the story skips around and fast forwards quite a bit. But despite that, Milo brings real character and emotion and despite any issues it's still an enjoyable, heart-warming movie.

I haven't watch the trailer and i'm so glad for that. I came blind to the movie, thought something with a dog life that dies at the end and all that stuff. Boy was i wrong, what i wonderful full emotional movie. Different aspects of life and focus on the family which so beautiful narration from Costner, no big speeches no stupid humor or dog silly, perfected crafted in a so beautiful movie.

Even if you are not a dog lover and want an emotional movie about the life circle and how a family evolved during crisis this is one of the must watch.

People reacted bad with the ending but i loved it ! When he said his name i burst into tears.

Very good overall, way above the commonplace dog story - largely because of the dog's POV actually driving the story forward, and the rest is up to Milo and the references sprinkled in thtoughout. Though a few hiccups leave it somewhere below greatness, namely the subplot with the grandparents right after one of the most overused tropes. At that point only the dog and the child have interesting reactions to offer as the rest is just meant to (successfully, in more ways than one) upset the viewer. The solution to that conflict having to be handed to Denny (since it was built to be unsurmountable) is the cherry on top. At least they finish it well enough not to leave a sour taste and Enzo's story has a nice ending.

A beautiful emotional masterpiece. One of the best dog's movie I watched. And yes I cried, but I smiled too.

I love how the movie was shot in Enzo's perspective. And I envy Denny.

If you liked Marley and Me, you will love this movie.

It's the story of a racing driver seen through the eyes of his dog named Enzo. It starts from the eyes of a puppy, adopted and groomed by the racing driver. It represents the struggles faced by the drivers to get the win, sacrificing at multiple points, ultimately teaching everyone the art of living in the rain.
The grandfather is definitely vilified for dramatic effect but otherwise the movie is fine.

The movie teaches life lessons as a car teaches them on the track.
Although sad at times, uplifting at the end.

Not typically a sap for dog movies as they always have the dog die at the end and try to force some life meaning narrative. This one might be my favorite of all those types of movies though. Kevin Costner as the wise dog made this rise above the rest. It might not be for everyone, but this one is quite good.

Finally a Cinderella story for men, where a poor middle aged local club racer manages to score a Ferrari F1 ride.
I loved every minute of it.

I absolutely loved this film. I wasn’t expecting this much but my sister had seen it and she was always recommending it! Well done!

Am not sure what to think of this movie. It’s certainly well made but the dog’s narration is maudlin and silly and the film as a whole is emotionally manipulative. Its watchable then but also groan inducing, although it was certainly better than I expected.

A very good movie it makes you sad and motivated at the same time..Loved the references to Ayrton Senna the god of racing in the rain and the best formula 1 driver ever existed.7.7/10

A heartbreakingly beautiful film from the viewpoint of Enzo. One of the best dog related movies I’ve seen all due to how fantastic the dog was and understanding the relationship between him and Denny from his point of view. Some of the story resonated with me especially when he recognised she was ill so not the best film to watch especially if you’re a woman and you’re feeling emotionally delicate

Okay, I went into this with lowered expectations. You know, I was thinking "okay here's another sappy dog movie designed to make me cry." Turns out they did a great job of making the dog feel real and intelligent, to the point where you're wishing he could talk and express himself better. Well worth a watch, this is one of the better films of 2019. Some of the parts were overwritten, and some of the dog's complicated language and remembrances took me temporarily out of the movie, but it was all worth it. Can a dog be a race car driver? Nope, something that frustrated Enzo to no end. Can he WANT to be a race car driver, and apply what he's learned to his dog life? Sure. Give this one a watch--you'll either love it or you are dead inside. Of course, if it had been about a cat, I might not have liked it so much...
