This one - his first film for MGM - is often considered Buster Keaton's last great work and indeed it is up there - or maybe just a slight smidge below - the likes of The Genreal and Our Hospitality, once more showcasing his boundless imagination and spot-on intuition for pure visual comedy before his creativity would be rapidly crushed by the restraints imposed on him and disastrous decisions made by the major studio system.
