The Case of the Bloody Iris 1972

The Case of the Bloody Iris is a pretty decent Giallo. Everything is here. The gloved killer, the suspense, the mystery, loads of red herrings, good cinematography, and, of course, some great kills. Stand-outs are Giampiero Albertini as one of the quirkiest policemen ever, and the ever-so-lovely Edwige Fenech as the lady in distress.

...and as we all know...joining a sex cult because of her is almost worth it...almost.

Yes...I do like Edwige Fenech THAT much. So...the best compliment I can give The Case of the Bloody Iris is that it would have been worth a watch even without her in it.

The Case of the Bloody Iris stars the beautiful Edwige Fenech... and her boobs.
Much better than I was expecting. This is a very entertaining giallo (even proto slasher, I'd say) with loads of red herrings, but I honestly didn’t care who the killer was, I just enjoyed the ride.
The movie has a great score, and it's oddly funny as well - especially when a dude straight up punches a dumb bitch in the face. Out of context that might not sound funny, but it was just so unexpected, and her reaction was so subdued.
If you dig a good mystery giallo, with a touch of humor, and loads of boobs, you'll want to watch this.
