"If you like 'The Changeling', check out... 'Alien.'" HUH?!
"If you like 'The Changeling', check out... 'World War Z.'" WHAT?!
No, no, no, Trakt. You have it all wrong.
'The Changeling' is nothing at all like 'World War Z'. Or 'Alien'.
It's melancholy and sad and morose and gripping and mysterious. It's probably George C. Scott's best performance, because he's not playing Patton again, or being all 1960s over-the-top like he was in 'Dr. Strangelove'.
Best of all, 'The Changeling' is a film you can watch with your SO late at night, and scare the crap out of each other.
It's got all the horror elements that do nothing for me and even bore me. I don't find this scary at all nor entertaining. This is pure personal taste. It's well made and I recommend it if you like a slow developing ghost story.
